@OupZutk@RatFlat Of course laws can be bad. I live in America, lots of shit laws here buddy, your preaching to the choir. but the law is there to protect not just companies but you too. Imagine all the small indie devs that get their shit pirated all the time. but you probably dont care.
@OupZutk@RatFlat Actually, Laws define how you distribute digital goods. Unfortunately for you, I suppose. Plus equating digital goods to a 1 of 1 pieces in an art museum is nonsensical. playing a pirated game while being grateful is one thing, but doing it out of selfishness and spite is wrong.
@OupZutk@RatFlat When you buy it in the first place you dont expect an online game to last forever, that's unreasonable. all good things come to an end. companies do move on and its up to them if they want to sell it. pirate old games if you want. but its not your right as a consumer to do so
@OupZutk@RatFlat Allow me to play devils advocate here, by that logic your not entitled to the game. you can live peacefully and never touch tekken 6 again. (which is the game that started all this nonsense) while i do believe once you buy a game you can do whatever the hell you want with it1/2

@nekolove1410@redblue708 For the people ACTUALLY working on the game, your right. its not just about money. but that's not the world we live in when your working for a corporation like bandai namco. for them, if it doesn't make enough money, your thrown to the side.
@nekolove1410@redblue708 The creator's spirits already broke, but do you know why? Harada, Nakatsu, and other developers who worked on tekken for years LEFT bandai namco because of terrible business practices that ended up putting their beloved franchise in a terrible light.
@nekolove1410@redblue708 Well thats because i see so many people saying its so morally bad. when in actually i disagree. And its been over 15+ years, No matter how many of the community ask for it, bandai will never care. I really dont see the big deal about it ESPECIALLY because no one is making money.
@nekolove1410@redblue708 Well i would agree. but bandai isnt getting money from tekken 6. not because of pirates, but because they just don't sell it anymore. any sale of tekken 6, bandai gets no money from it. Even if there wasn't any pirates, bandai still would make 0 money from tekken 6.
@ShatyouM50648@2Dee4ever@maneater_dgr I really do think if Bandai wanted this to stop. they could send a cease and desist. and take the project down. But i dont think they really care that much to be honest. They rather create new games for people aroudn the world to enjoy, then worry about Tekken 6
@ShatyouM50648@2Dee4ever@maneater_dgr I can assume things are very different in japan, as they are different from where im from. SO neither side can really justify their own view as its different. but as someone from the other side, Companies here are more often out to get you than be friendly towards you
@dageking___ Well i would agree with you. but there isn't really any proper channel to pay for it here. Its pretty much inaccessible unless you pay a Re-seller an absurd amount of money, usually more money than the game originally cost. Bandai no longer gets money from it. only shady people.
@nekolove1410@redblue708 My point being, If a game were to release that you love, but was abandoned after years, and there was no way to obtain it without spending an absurd amount of money to someone re-selling it. Who does that hurt? You? or the company that doesn't make money from it?
@nekolove1410@redblue708 Even if considered illegal, its an Anti consumer law, the company never has and never will care about you. If they cared, they would re-release the game so everyone can enjoy it. They would make money. but they dont do it because they just dont really care about it.
