Refilwe Sebothoma: Entrepreneur | Founder of Hakem Energies
Established in 2025, the Hakem Energies Foundation is committed to making a significant impact in the energy sector over the next three years.
By aligning our initiatives with the Sustainable Development Goals and focusing on energy access, women and youth empowerment and community development, they intend on creating sustainable solutions that uplift marginalised communities and foster a brighter future for all.
In just one year, 1,500 families have transitioned from firewood and other traditional fuels to cleaner energy sources such as gas. They look forward to collaborating with stakeholders and partners to bring this strategy to life and achieve our shared vision of a sustainable and equitable energy future.

[ON AIR] MUSIC OF AFRICA
🇿🇦✨All roads lead to South Africa, this weekend, and here’s why:
Why South Africa? Because April 27 marks Freedom Day; a powerful reminder of the 1994 democratic elections, when all South Africans could vote for the very first time. A moment that reshaped a nation, and still echoes through its music today.
🌍 Then we journey across the continent, celebrating legends who shaped Africa’s sound:
🎶 Foday Musa Suso; reimagining the kora, bridging tradition and innovation
🎤 Mohammed Wardi; the voice of Sudan’s soul, carrying history, resistance, and identity
⚡ WITCH; Zambia’s Zamrock pioneers, redefining African rock with fearless energy
🎧 And in the final hour, you take control in our Shared Playlist Hour.

[ON AIR] MUSIC OF AFRICA
From Accra to your speakers, this morning on Music of Africa we step into a defining moment in our continent’s story 🇬🇭
On 15 April 1958, the Conference of Independent African States, led by Kwame Nkrumah, marked the first time independent African nations gathered on African soil to shape their future; together, unapologetically, and without colonial oversight. Africa didn’t just speak; it began thinking as one.
In the second hour, we celebrate sonic legends; Tinariwen, The Oriental Brothers International Band & Lundi🎶
Final hour? You take over the playlist.
