At an assistive tech conference a few weeks ago, I talked with multiple people who were blind or visually impaired who told me the hot new Meta AI glasses are kinda fun toys that let them engage with social media in new ways but are basically useless as pieces of assistive tech

@littlecatnose The more I think about this the more I think it actually is just wrong. There are plenty of people that read Great Literature who also defend maybe not so well written idiosyncratic books. Sure, the booktok stuff and romance don’t get praised but cinephiles don’t bat for hallmark
