ISPCAN International Parter @togetherforgirls launched the #OutOfTheShadows Index at #WHA79 today.
This new landmark global benchmark measures how governments are preventing and responding to sexual violence against children and adolescents.
🌏 It ranks 60 countries across six regions, representing 83% of the world’s children, and evaluates performance across 23 indicators researched and developed by @economistimpact with input from technical experts, including youth and survivor voices.
“Countries need to see the painful reality of childhood sexual violence. The Out of the Shadows Index is a great tool to track evidence based solutions and develop better systems of care." -- Pragathi Tummala, CEO, ISPCAN

Let women be.
Let women lead.
Let women thrive.
Let women speak up.
Let women represent.
Let women live peacefully.
Let women express themselves.
Let women control their bodies.
Let women live.
⚠️ Trigger Warning: sexual & gender-based violence.
A new report by the Civil Commission - after a 2-year investigation - concludes that sexual violence was systematic, widespread, and integral to the October 7th terrorist attack.

What does peace actually look like?
🔵 Women at the table.
🔵 Women taking up roles in leadership.
🔵 Women whose safety is non-negotiable.
This #LivingTogetherInPeace day, we’re reminded that peace is only as strong as the women who shape it. 🕊️

Your support at this time means more than ever.
Thank you for standing with us.
It's 2026, and as of yet, no country has achieved gender equality.
At the current rate of progress, it could take hundreds of years for women and girls to have the same rights and protections as men.
Sunday is International Women’s Day.

Today marks five years since the tragic murder of Sarah Everard. A crime that shocked our nation and sparked a painful but vital conversation about women’s safety on our streets and in our communities. We remember Sarah, honour her life, and stand in solidarity with her family and all those whose lives were forever changed. I am proud of the work we have done and continue to do in Hackney to ensure that our public spaces are safe for women and girls.
Sarah's death must never be reduced to a mere moment in history. It remains a call to action, to challenge violence against women and girls, confront misogyny in all its forms, and keep working together to ensure women can live, walk, and flourish without fear.
We remember. We reflect. And we reaffirm our commitment.
Five years ago, we lost Sarah Everard.
Today we honour her memory, celebrate her life, and stand in solidarity with her family.
In this beautiful piece for @BritishVogue, Susan Everard remembers the "goodness" Sarah brought to the world.
"She added to the beauty of the world"
This week is a stark reminder we still live in a society that too often protects those who sexually abuse young women and children more than it protects victims.
Until abusers - and their enablers - are fully held to account, nothing changes.

Thank you to Sir Brian Leveson for this enormous undertaking and tireless work. It’s been a privilege to work alongside him to ensure the human cost to victims was front and centre throughout this review. Now it’s time to turn these pages into real change ⬇️

Government committing to Trauma-informed “Child House” services like Lighthouse bringing police, health, social care & therapy together—so children tell their story once and families get coordinated support.
I’m proud to have helped establish The Lighthouse in Camden, bringing together services for survivors of abuse. A model that the government is now replicating nationally.
I joined Secretary of State Wes Streeting and Jess Phillips MP to see the vital support they offer.
