I don't think some people know what friendship really means. You can't call yourself a friend and you are doing well but your friend is struggling and always asking you for money to guide when you can just put him on. I mean it won't remove anything from you or make you less.
Privilege is such an interesting thing I often find myself thinking about. We do not ask for the life we have, and that is why I'm very mindful of it. You often find it a lot in my writing.
Last week, my cleaner told me on Monday(2 days ago) was her birthday. I asked her what age we are celebrating and she said 33. Epiphany hit me that my agemate is my cleaner. I wore a wry smile as I nodded my head and told her to remind me on Monday so she could get her gift.
I then went to my room to deal with the epiphany of privilege. In another universe, that could easily have been me.
🚨 Pelé on the biggest regret of his football career:
🗣️ Pelé: “People often ask me if I have any regrets in football. I was fortunate to achieve almost everything a player could dream of. I spent the majority of my career at Santos, where I built my legacy, and later finished my playing days with the New York Cosmos. Those two clubs gave me unforgettable memories and changed my life forever.”
“But if there’s one thing that still crosses my mind from time to time, it’s never playing for Manchester United. That opportunity was real, and it’s one of the biggest ‘what ifs’ of my career.”
“Back then, Sir Matt Busby admired my football and there were conversations about bringing me to Old Trafford. Manchester United weren’t just another club—they were already becoming the biggest institution in English football, with incredible history, passionate supporters, and a global reputation that every player knew about.”
“The negotiations never reached the point where a transfer became possible because Santos believed my place was in Brazil. At that time, the Brazilian government even declared me a national treasure, making any move abroad incredibly difficult.”
“I respected that decision because Santos meant everything to me, but I would be lying if I said I never imagined what it would have been like to wear the red shirt at Old Trafford. Every great player dreams of performing on the biggest stages, and Manchester United was certainly one of them.”
“When I watched the atmosphere at Old Trafford and saw the legends who represented that club over the years, I always wondered how my career might have looked if I had been part of that story. It’s not something that keeps me awake at night, but it’s probably the biggest football regret I have.”

Nigerian men also think like that. If she was rich or financially stable, they will feel insecure and accept disrespect because they think they deserve it for not having more money than her.
In fact, if he happens to make it, he will still attribute the good luck to her.
It's because when you build, you create what you've CONVINCED yourself to be a needed product/service
The entire building process is adrenaline pumped. The euphoria of "yessss, I'm a builder!!!"
.
.
But if you'll ever need to start off your marketing, by convincing people to see why they need your product, then you will struggle.
This is something I've figured out.
When you just built something, you NEED to locate the small demographic of people who are already facing the pain and need EXACTLY what you built. AND THEY ARE AWARE OF THIS.
It's very important to put in the "and they are aware they need your solution"
.
.
A very big mistake a lot of people make when starting out marketing, is going after people who aren't aware they need the solutions.
It will take a whole lot of energy to convince them to ever make a purchase, even though you know they need it. But unfortunately, they do not have your foresight.
Pure psychology.
.
.
Let me give you a practical example
If you created baby tech products/services, then go directly to ante-natal to get live feedbacks. Go to kindergarten schools. Have a meeting with nannies.
Go to that very small demograph of people who will be your base lining to building your marketing on.
A lot of nursing mothers have networks. And one satisfied nursing mother will tell 10 more.
This is how you start off your marketing.
.
.
Meet at least 10 people, ask them what their pain points are. If 4 people say similar things, then refine your solution product/service round those similar things.
For 4 in 10 to complain of the same issue, it means 40 in 100 have the same complaint. Or 400/1000. Or 4000/10,000 people.
.
.
And after refining your solution, you then offer them to these 4 main people. Who will most definitely have 4 people each to talk to. Making you have 16 overall customers with word of mouth. All because you prioritised 4 people and delivered great value to them.
.
.
This is how to market.
Go to where they are. Go to where they are hanging out.
If you can do it physically, then it's greattt
If you can't physically, then online works well too.
.
.
It will take time. But honestly, what great feat doesn't take time?

When a woman is in love with a man wants to be with him:
1. She will always want to see you
2. She will call or chat with you to check on you
3. She will use her money to cook for you
4. She will give you gifts
5. She will come to see you before you ask
6. She will not ask for transport.
7. She will look for a fine for you without asking you for money
8. She will make love to you effortlessly.
9. She will know when you are not yourself.
10. She will not want you to spend carelessly.
11. She would rather cook than order food.
12. She tells you her to-do plans
13. If she says she is home, she is definitely home.
14. She is always appreciative
15. Asks about your family.
16. She will make loving her and the relationship easy.
A responsible man cannot take this type of woman for granted unless he is mentally unstable or he is possessed.

I got stranded one weekend and needed to make an urgent transfer, but Zenith Bank decided to misbehave. I called my girlfriend and asked if she could lend me the money, promising to send it back the moment my transaction went through.
She said, “I don’t think I can.”
I asked why, thinking maybe she had a genuine reason. She replied, “You know I don’t like taking money out of my savings.”
I asked again just to be sure I heard her correctly. She repeated the exact same thing.
I simply said, “Okay,” and ended the call. A few days later, I ended the relationship too.
It wasn’t even about the money. It was realizing I couldn’t count on the person I was planning a future with when I genuinely needed help.

Let's talk about all the players leading up to the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
Rooney was a precocious child. He was tearing up the EPL before he moved to United. At 16, he became Everton's and Premier League's youngest goalscorer. He scored the winning goal that broke Arsenal's 30 match unbeaten run in 2002. At 17, he was BBC's young sports personality of the year. He became one of the highest paid teenagers when he signed his first professional contract at 17 in 2003. Summer of 2004 at 18, Everton offered him £50k to keep him (it would make him their highest paid), but he signed for United for £27m, making him the most expensive under 20 player ever. He ended the season with BBC goal of the season, United highest goal scorer and PFA Young Player of the Year. Just before the World Cup, he was Man of the Match at the Carling Cup final in February, scoring twice. Rooney also lit up the 2004 Euros where he scored 4 goals in 4 matches and named in the team of the tournament at the age of 18.
The GOAT Ronaldo - After destroying United in a friendly match for Sporting Lisbon in 2003, United players begged Ferguson to sign him and the era of the GOAT began. That signing made him the most expensive teenager in British football. He scored United's 1000th Premier League goal in 2004. By the time the World Cup came around, he already won 2 trophies with United. Like Rooney, Ronaldo featured in the Euro 2004 team of the tournament having provided 2 goals and 2 assists that took Portugal to the final.
The GOAT Messi - In 2005 at 17, he became Barca's youngest player and youngest goalscorer in official competition. Just before the World Cup, he had won the league and Champions League with Barcelona. On the International front, he won the 2005 FIFA Under 20 Youth Championship with Argentina, winning the golden ball after registering 6 goals and 2 assists.
Sneijder won the best Under 21 Player in the Dutch league in 2004. He represented Netherlands at the Under 21 in 2003 and made his senior debut that same year. He was on the Dutch team to the Euro 2004.
In 2004, Modric won Bosnian Premier League Player of the Year at 18 and Best Young Croatian Player of the Year. Modric had played for Croatia at the Under 15, 17, 18, 19 and 21.
Iniesta became a regular for Barca in the 2004/2005 season playing 37 out of 38 league games - more than any other player. Then he won the league and CL double just before the world Cup. He already won the Under 16 European Championship with Spain in 2001 and Under 19 European Championship in 2003. He made it to the final of the FIFA World Youth Tournament in 2003, where they lost 1 - 0 to Brazil.
Lahm won silver at the 2002 Under 19 European Championship with Germany and was part of Germnay's squad for Euro 2004. After series of loans, he became a regular for Bayern in the 2005/2006 season.
Vidic was captain of Red Star Belgrade at 19, and in 2004, he led them to a domestic double at 21. That summer, he became the most expensive defender in.thenhisgirynof Russian league after signing for Spartak Moskow. 6 months before this World Cup, he joined United and won the Carling Cup a month later. He formed a fantastic 4 defence during the World Cup qualifiers with teammates Krstajić, Dragutinović and Gavrančić where they conceded only one goal in 10 matches. Sadly, Vidic didnt play at the World Cup after sustaining injury during training.
Mertesacker was invited to the German National Team in 2004 after a strong disciplinary record in defence for Hannover 96 where he went 31 matches without getting booked. He also played all 5 games for Germany at the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2005, where Germany finished 3rd.
Ramos won the 2004 European Under 19 Championship with Spain, scoring in the semi-final. In 2004-2005 season, at only age 18, Ramos played 41 games for Sevilla, scoring against Real Madrid. At the end of the season, Real Madrid signed him for €27m. He got 4 red cards that sesson 😂
