German core-core inflation slowed a tad in Q2 due to transp. (train rides) & clothing prices, which was partially offset by a bit higher health care inflation. Not much to see otherwise. Diff. core measures picked up in June after weak April/May. Data issues likely limited in DE
@OliverRakau Excellent. This imo needs to more of the norm to reporting inflation drivers. A single inflation reporting compared on year to year basis seems to be less informative at this point. Keep sharing such info ๐
@sjwrenlewis People are comapring Sweden with countries with higher population. Thus making it appear their non lockdown policy is working. They need to be comapred to similar countries with comparable population count and density.
@forniso@ojblanchard1 Yes, was wondering the same thing. Recession to be called a recession require it to be observed at least in two successive quarters. Ofcourse, Q2 numbers will be very bad but we need to see the effects of policy on Q3 to fully say recession etc...
