They do not seek donations from anyone, nor will you ever find a donation box in any corner of the Haramain. Yet, by the grace of Allah, they have built and maintained two of the greatest sanctuaries on earth—the Haram in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.
Their efforts continue day and night to expand, protect, and ease the journey of every pilgrim who visits these sacred places.
The leaders and teams who oversee the Haramain and manage the immense operations of Hajj and Umrah are often under‑recognized, though their service benefits millions.
May Allah reward them with the highest ranks in this world and in the Hereafter, and accept every effort they make for His sake. Ameen.

The most common objections that people have about their parents are that they don’t listen, are controlling, compare them to others, ignore boundaries, criticize often, rarely apologize, expect too much, show little affection, treat them like children even in adulthood, and don’t understand their struggles.
Allah has ONE SOLUTION to all objections - To always respond with respect.
And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age with you, do not say to them [so much as] 'uff' (a word of disrespect) and do not repel them, but speak to them a noble word. (17:23)
If your parents had personality challenges—whether controlling, emotionally unavailable, perfectionistic, passive-aggressive, inconsistent, avoidant, or rigid—and you feel those traits affected your well‑being, then be even more grateful that despite their struggles, they still cared for you and provided what you needed.
And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, 'My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.' (17:24)
They gave you an education, which means they equipped you with the ability to understand life, solve problems—whether caused by them or others—and navigate the world with strength. Their mercy, in whatever form they were able to offer, was with you throughout your upbringing.
☀️ Start your day with this prayer: 📖
🤲 My Lord, grant me a ruling (wisdom/sound judgement) and join me with the righteous.
And grant me a reputation of truthfulness among later generations.
And make me among the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss (Paradise). 🤲
(26:83-85)
آمِينَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Allah emphasizes that harming believers unjustly is so severe that it brings multiple layers of punishment.
—————-
Indeed, those who persecuted the believing men and believing women—and then did not repent—will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. (85:10)
📖So compete eagerly with one another in doing good deeds (2:148) 📖
💭There is a well‑known incident that highlights how the companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (peace be upon him) eagerly competed with one another in doing good deeds. 💭
✨Narrated Zayd ibn Aslam: I heard Umar ibn al-Khattab say:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded us to give charity, and at that time, I had some wealth, so I said: Today I will precede Abu Bakr if I can beat him by one day.
So I brought half of my wealth, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'What have you left for your family?' I said the same.
Then Abu Bakr came with all that he had, and he said: 'O Abu Bakr, what have you left for your family?' He said: 'I left for them Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.'
I said: 'By Allah, I will never precede him in anything.'
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3675) ✨
💭The ranks of those who eagerly competed in doing good deeds become evident through this hadith.💭
✨Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
→ Abu Bakr is in Paradise,
→ and Umar is in Paradise,
and Uthman is in Paradise,
and Ali is in Paradise,
and Talha is in Paradise,
and Al-Zubayr is in Paradise,
and Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf is in Paradise,
and Saad is in Paradise,
and Saeed is in Paradise,
and Abu Ubaidah ibn Al-Jarrah is in Paradise.'
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3747)✨
The last time I shared about the healing benefits of honey mentioned in the Quran.
Today, I’m continuing that reminder by sharing the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that confirm and emphasize the same truth.
-------------------
Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
"Healing is in three things: A gulp of honey, cupping, and branding with fire (cauterizing)." But I forbid my followers to use (cauterization) branding with fire."
(Sahih al-Bukhari 5680)
--------------------
Narrated `Aisha:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to like sweet edible things and honey.
(Sahih al-Bukhari 5682)
-------------------
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:
A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "My brother has some Abdominal trouble."
The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him "Let him drink honey."
The man came for the second time and the Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, 'Let him drink honey."
He came for the third time and the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Let him drink honey."
He returned again and said, "I have done that '
The Prophet (ﷺ) then said, "Allah has said the truth, but your brother's `Abdomen has told a lie. Let him drink honey."
So he made him drink honey and he was cured.
(Sahih al-Bukhari 5684)
And your Lord inspired the bee, "Take for yourself among the mountains, houses [i.e., hives], and among the trees and [in] that which they construct.
Then eat from all the fruits and follow the ways of your Lord laid down [for you]." There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing for people. Indeed, in that is a sign for the people who give thought.

Nowhere in Islam has it ever been ordered to kill Jews.
When an unstable individual from Palestine expresses such a desire—someone whose life revolves around hatred and chaos—that kind of rhetoric and the media that amplifies it must be rejected.
Arab leaders need to state clearly and decisively that Islam does not encourage the killing of Jews. Their words would carry weight.
Simply condemning Hamas after immense harm has already been done is not enough. Simply recognizing the State of Israel is not sufficient.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (peace be upon him) married a woman Safiyyah bint Huyayy from a Jewish background; in other words, his in-laws were Jewish. The closest bond between two human beings is the bond of marriage. Yes, she accepted Islam, but is it surprising that the spouse of Muhammad ﷺ would follow what he taught? Because she became the Prophet’s wife, she was known as the Mother of the Believers.
For over 1,500 years in Europe, Jewish communities were often treated as outsiders in Christian-majority societies:
They were restricted from many professions.
They were frequently scapegoated for events such as plagues, famines, and economic crises.
They were often barred from owning land.
The Holocaust was driven by a racist and extremist political ideology that distorted history, exploited long-standing prejudices, and turned them into a system of organized genocide.
We do not follow Christian doctrines or narratives, nor do we accept propaganda of any kind.
We follow Muhammad ﷺ, and in sensitive situations we must not forget his way of life—how neither opposition nor hostility ever changed his values.
The rewards of the sacrifice on Eid al-Adha:
Narrated Aisha: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
“The son of Adam does not perform any deed on the Day of Sacrifice that is more beloved to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, than shedding blood. Indeed, it will come on the Day of Resurrection with its horns, hooves, and hair, and indeed the blood reaches Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, at a place before it falls on the earth, so purify yourselves with it.”
(Sunan Ibn Majah 3126)
-------------
The companions of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
“O Messenger of Allah, what are these sacrifices?”
He said, “The Sunnah of your father Ibrahim (Abraham).”
They said, “What is for us in them, O Messenger of Allah?”
He said, “For every hair, there is a good deed.”
They said, “And the wool, O Messenger of Allah?”
He said, “For every hair from the wool there is a good deed.”
(Sunan Ibn Majah 3127)
`Amr bin Shu`aib narrated from his father, from his grandfather, that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“The best of supplication is the supplication of the Day of `Arafah. And the best of what I and the Prophets before me have said is: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, Alone, without partner, to Him belongs all that exists, and to Him belongs the Praise, and He is powerful over all things. (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa `alā kulli shai’in qadīr).’”
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3585)
The day of Arafah, 9 Zul-Hajj is almost here!
Arafah worship can be started from Monday, May 25 at 11 AM CDT (this matches the start of 9 Dhul‑Hijjah in Saudi Arab).
Fasting on Tuesday, May 26 (Houston) is the correct fasting day for non‑pilgrims.
The peak time of dua (when Allah boasts to the angels) is during Saudi afternoon, which is:
Houston time: 6 AM – 12 PM on Tuesday, May 26.
------------
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: 'Fasting on the Day of Arafah, I hope from Allah that it will expiate the sins of the year before it and the year after it.'
(Sunan Ibn Majah 1730)
@DrXiakhan Oh, was my post so powerful and effective that it got you into believing that I have the authority to force you into getting overwhelmed with self-reflection. Thanks for the compliments, although indirect. 🙏
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ will be:
The first to be resurrected
The first to approach Paradise
The first to have the gate opened
The first to enter Paradise
We know the details of his life. Where we are standing between paradise and hell, we can determine by reflecting on how much we follow him in each and every matter.
His top qualities were truthfulness and trustworthiness, where even his enemies trusted his words.
He ﷺ stood up for the rights of women, especially in the role of wife and daughter.
He ﷺ never took revenge for himself.
He ﷺ was the one found smiling the most.
He ﷺ was the one most generous, especially in the month of Ramadan.
His justice was the same when it came to his offspring and people of other beliefs.
He ﷺ was more modest than a virgin behind her veil.
He ﷺ relied on Allah under the most difficult circumstances.
He ﷺ forgave the people who made every effort to harm him over two decades.
He ﷺ guided people to the right path. He ﷺ taught them the Quran and demonstrated its teachings through his own actions.
His intention, body, mind, and heart were so pure that when he ﷺ was alone in the cave to worship Allah away from his wife and children, Allah sent his first revelation of the Quran, which was later revealed to be the night of Qadr. The night better than a thousand months.
He ﷺ was so down to earth that he ﷺ used to mend his own clothes and lived with minimalism.
There are a lot more qualities of Muhammad ﷺ than what has been mentioned above.
About him, Allah has said that he ﷺ is the role model, and he ﷺ was sent as the mercy for mankind.
The question is where we are at that scale when we compare ourselves with the person who will be the first one to enter paradise.
—------------------
"I am the Master of the Children of Adam on the Day of Resurrection; I am the first for whom the grave opens, the first to intercede, and the first whose intercession is accepted."
(Sahih Muslim 2278)
"I shall come to the gate of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection and ask for it to be opened. The gatekeeper will ask, 'Who are you?' I shall reply, 'Muhammad.' He will then say, 'It is for you that I was commanded; I am not to open for anyone before you.'"
(Sahih Muslim 197)
Ask to Allah for the outcome. Such as, if you want to get married, ask for what you want as a result of marriage — not for that one specific person you think might be good for you. Because you don’t know which decision holds khair. Ask for happiness, bonding, support, peace, a righteous spouse, respect, trust, etc.
Khair (خَيْر) means goodness, virtue, benefit, or what is better. It is the direct opposite of sharr (evil/harm)
You want wealth. How do you know that having more money will bring you khair? Hence, ask for the outcome of having wealth. You want comfort, you want to help family and others, you want more free time for a noble cause, you want to solve problems.
The below two prayers bring khair and the very best outcomes.
Guide us to the straight path. The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor—not of those who have incurred Your wrath, nor of those who have gone astray. (1:6-7)
My Lord, indeed I am in need of whatever good You send down to me. (28:24)
Not every person in this world will be in loss. Their qualities will be that they believed in Allah, they did righteous deeds, they made an effort to set others on the right path — the path of truth — and they advised one another to be patient.
The one encouraging you to react is misleading you.
The one guiding you toward bad deeds is misleading you. Their first question is: why are you not desiring this world like others, why are you not having fun like others?
They are the ones who are in loss.
Indeed, mankind is in loss, except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. (10:2-3)
The whole point here is: do you recognize your Creator or not? And if you do, what have you done to earn his approval for you?
Have they not observed the birds, held in subjection in the midst of the sky? None holds them up except Allah. Indeed, in that are signs for a people who believe. (16:79)
