Walker Lyons said Aaron Roderick does a great job of putting playmakers in position to make plays:
"One thing he does really well is put the playmakers in good positions. You saw it on Saturday. A lot of guys made big plays, and it was spread out. It wasn’t one person having a crazy game while everyone else didn’t contribute much. That’s one of his strengths as a coordinator. He puts people with different strengths in the right spots to make plays, and he called a great game."

Another defensive play that doesn’t make much sense for Notre Dame. Jaylen Sneed and Adon Shuler are in the same spot and no one is covering the flat.
Shuler misses the tackle and makes a bad play worse, but this made no sense from the start.
I really believe this BYU team is maniacally locked in right now. They've bottled all of the disrespect over the last two years and they're bringing that edge to Orlando.
Cougs will look sharp, dominant, and roll UCF by 17+ pts. That -6.5 line is disrespectful.
Kalani is the definition of, "if you build it they will come". And man has he built it. 🔥💙💪 He deserves every amazing accolade and acknowledgement coming his way.
Nine years ago, Kalani Sitake was brought nearly to tears when almost no fans showed up for his weekly football show amidst a seven-game losing streak.
Now, BYU football is No. 2 in the country. What a story.

Very similar blue chip recruit discrepancy that Oregon had over Indiana last year in the playoff, and we saw how that worked out..
BYU's playing like a cohesive, very talented football team, and as we saw with Indiana, when done at an elite level, that trumps blue chip talent.
This is why national pundits almost unanimously agreed that BYU didn't stand a chance against Notre Dame.
On paper, the perceived talent gap is enormous.
But games aren't played on paper.
I remember during Kalani’s first few years at BYU, when the program was really struggling and losing a lot of games. One night, they were doing the Kalani Football Show live on TV, and basically zero fans showed up. His own football players ended up sitting in the audience to fill the empty seats. I remember Kalani getting emotional and breaking down in tears.
He has since admitted that during that time, he questioned whether he was the right guy for the job and whether he could turn the program around. I thought that might be his last year as BYU’s head coach.
And now look at him and this program… #2 IN THE COUNTRY!!!
What an incredible story of perseverance, loyalty, and believing in something when almost nobody else did. So happy for Kalani. He deserves every bit of this! 💙🤙
As amazing of a victory for BYU as Notre Dame was, this UCF game is equally important..
Because unlike Georgia, you can’t lose to a mediocre team like Auburn and maintain credibility. I believe BYU knows that and they are LOCKED in on making this another statement this Saturday.
BYU OC Aaron Roderick said he held a tryout for players to throw back to Bear and Kyler Kasper nailed the first throw and he didn’t let anyone throw after that.
Legend Glasker's reaction to BYU being ranked #2:
"It’s crazy. I was just saying, we’re the No. 2 team in the whole country. We’re blessed to be there and we’re all happy about it, but our team knows we have way more work to do and new things to accomplish. That’s not the only thing we’re chasing. I’d say the best thing about our team is that we always stay hungry."

Tonight on the Sitake Show Kalani said BYU has these nicknames like Cardiac Cougs, Vampire Cougs, etc.
He joked that BYU needs to become the "Comfortable Cougs".
