A true hero. A single soul who gave hope to the entire Ummah, loved by every true believer. He always prayed for martyrdom, and he was granted it. That is the most honorable way one can leave this world. May you be granted eternal peace. Ameen.
Tamim al-Dari was a Christian sailor in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He came to the Prophet, accepted Islam and narrated an encounter where he sailed with thirty men and reached an island after being tossed by the sea for a month.
The chained Dajjal asked about the date-palm trees of Baysaan, the Tiberias and the spring of Zughar. He also inquired about the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and advised people to follow Rasulallah ﷺ before he emerged.
Sayyiduna Tamim al-Darim passed away in a village close to Hebron.
Bewildered, they exclaimed, "Woe to you, who are you?" This man asked many questions and inquired about different locations until he revealed himself as the Dajjal, describing his impending emergence in every place except for being barred from Makkah and Madinah.
