Underrated life upgrade: Stop chasing people who aren’t genuinely interested in you. Friends, jobs, partners, etc. Go where you're asked questions, not just expected to give answers. Interest is effort. Effort takes energy. Energy shows respect.
Don’t underestimate the power of presence. You don’t have to fix every problem, solve every issue, or have the right words. Sometimes the best thing you can do for someone is to sit with them, listen, and remind them they don’t have to carry whatever they're facing alone.
@18Dapper It’s not that simple. I have 34 points, and I’ve been unable to get a ticket, same for my husband and dad. Yet there’s people that’s not attended an away game in their life that have tickets. I personally don’t see how that’s deemed ‘fair’.
Don’t assume that being in the same room is the same thing as "being together." Put down your phone, turn off the TV and focus on each other. You wouldn’t let anyone else interrupt. Don’t let gadgets interfere either.
Don’t balance the weight of the world on your shoulders.
Only focus on what you’re in control of.
Everything else you can let go of.
Go get what’s yours.
Marriage can be amazing when you put in the work. BUT you cannot put your marriage on cruise control and expect it to be great. It will take being intentional at seeing it grow. Never settle.
