@lptrech Sanji before most of his main battles always takes on mild to heavy damage. So you can say he nerfs himself to make his fights interesting, or Oda nerfs him to make him not finish his opponents too quickly. Only giving the illusion it's a challenge for Sanji, which it isn't. 🤷‍♂️

@Artmanthegoat Be sure to note he's using what's called the pendulum swing. He's stepping in and out of range, once he gets in; he strikes then gets back out of range. While 99% are trained in the western pugilist (hit/trade/ko) way, he trains in the soviet (hit/evade/score points) style.

1st is, Zoro doesn't know nor ever seen Shanks before. He views Shanks as a threat being a yonko.

2nd, although Luffy speaks highly of Shanks. Luffy is still Zoro's captain & he's worried that the relationship they share could affect his dream.
