I’m tired of seeing Black men cry in the media.
Especially when he has his own successful platform already.
This is an opportunity for him to turn The Pivot up to a whole new level.
#Fever guard Sophie Cunningham on her trans comments in ESPN:
“I said what I said. I think it’s kind of common sense. … I think it’s really important to protect children.”
“I don’t dislike anyone. … I’m there to love, but I’m also there to love biological women. …”
What Karmelo did was a byproduct of the ever-evasive “respect” that black men are taught to value over everything as soon as we’re old enough to play outside.
That’s not an exaggeration or joke.
Look at the black men co-signing his behavior, although they would never do it themselves.
Happy to see a kid lose years of his life behind pride.
Because it all sounds great in theory until it gets real.
What happened here is not racial.
This is cultural.
Don't fall for the bodybuilding BS. Don't make the gym your whole personality. Live your life. Walk, play, eat good, Pushups and pullups.
stay lean/fit/healthy
It’s strange that we are trained to be emotional over the death of George Floyd but make no mention of the hundreds of black people who are killed in our neighborhoods every year
If you approach a woman with clear romantic intent and she turns you down, the interaction is over.
You did not approach her for friendship. You approached her for dating. If dating is off the table, so is access.
That does not mean hostility. It means clarity.
A head nod in passing is sufficient. No conversation. No lingering. No slow slide into “maybe we can just be cool.”
You were not offering plan B.
This is not about ego. It is about frame.
When you state your intention and accept the outcome cleanly, you preserve asymmetry. You communicate that your interest has standards and boundaries.
It is either the thing you want.
Or nothing at all.
A truly healthy, lifelong relationship is incredibly boring, and that is exactly what makes it beautiful. The internet tells you to constantly chase butterflies, toxic sparks, and cinematic grand gestures. But real love is just two people doing grocery shopping, managing a household, and sitting in silence on the couch without any underlying anxiety. If your relationship feels "boring," you didn't lose the spark, you finally achieved absolute peace
Yep 😭marriage is deeper than chemistry and cute dates. That's the person who'll hold you together through grief, sickness, childbirth and every hard season life throws at you.
At what point do black people get sick of seeing this behavior and start doing something about it?
White supremacy isn’t the problem here—black degeneracy is.
Easy. He’s rewarded by his white overlords for it. There have always been Justins in our community. We call them “shuck n jive” negroes. The liberal white man loves this. He claps and giggles and says “Aren’t they so fun?! They’re so passionate! So expressive. Just like in the movies!” And then that white man gives Justin some money and a pat on the back and invitations to the cocktail parties where he is one of just a few black people. There, they will be endlessly entertained by his speech (they talk so funny and loudly!), his Afro (I just love his hair. Can I touch it?), his rage (there’s something scary but fun about a black man pretending to be angry), his clothes (so many bright sashes!), his complaints (I’m such a good person for inviting this poor black man here and listening to his pain), his shuck and his jive (black people are so expressive!). They can tell each other stories about their new black friend at the classier parties he doesn’t get invited to. They can use him as an anecdote in their classroom lectures and dinner parties in the Hamptons with Jimmy Kimmel. They can feel good about their diverse group of friends. They can close their mansion gates at night feeling they’ve done their part to help the poors. Justin is on it and he’s yelling loudly and don’t we just love it when he starts dancing and shouting like he’s in one of those very animated black churches?
That’s what Justin gets out of this. That’s what changed. He found approval. It’s all he’s ever wanted.
