RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith” *(Romans 1:17)*

In our previous study, we learnt that the Gospel is the power of God. It’s the message that declares that through Christ, you’ve been justified, made righteous, and brought into oneness with God. The Gospel shows you what God has done, who you have become, and what now belongs to you in Christ. This produces faith in your spirit.

God deals with men on the basis of faith. He brings men into righteousness, not because they qualified by works but because of faith. Consider something remarkable in Hebrews chapter eleven. The Bible lists great men of faith: Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Moses, etc.

But right in that list, it also says, “By faith the harlot Rahab perished not…” (Hebrews 11:31). A harlot; yet she’s included among the heroes of faith. Why? It’s because she believed! She heard about the God of Israel, saw His representatives and believed in their victory even before it happened (Read Joshua 2:1-22). She aligned herself with their faith, with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

That one act brought her into God’s purpose and even into the lineage of the Lord Jesus. This is the power of righteousness by faith. When it’s imparted to your spirit, everything changes. You’re no longer defined by who you were or where you came from but by what you’ve received.

In the Book of Romans, Paul unfolds this progressively. He shows the legality of 33²righteousness, how God made it available through Christ, and then reveals its impartation into the human spirit. So, you’re not trying to qualify for God’s acceptance. You’ve been brought in by faith.

Live with the assurance that you’re accepted, justified, and established in God, not because of what you did but because you’ve embraced, accepted and receives the righteousness which is by faith in Jesus Christ: “…that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith” (Philippians 3:8-9). Hallelujah!

*PRAYER*
Dear Father, I thank you for the righteousness revealed in the Gospel. I’m conscious that I’ve been brought into the Kingdom by faith, not by works. I walk in boldness, fully assured of my acceptance and right standing in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen

There is something extraordinary about having direct access to someone in authority. In the world's system, people spend fortunes trying to gain influence with those who hold power. Yet as believers, we have been given something far greater. Through the name of Jesus Christ, we have direct access to the Creator of heaven and earth. We don't require an appointment, a recommendation, or a waiting list. God's invitation is simple: "Call upon Me and I will show you great and mighty things which you do not know." The throne room of heaven is open to every child of God who comes in faith.

We are not powerless spectators in life's struggles. We are members of God's family, blood relatives because of the Cross, with the privilege of entering His presence at any moment. Whether facing trials, uncertainty, sickness, or impossible circumstances, we can rejoice knowing that Almighty God hears our prayers. Today, exercise your privilege as a child of God. Call upon Him, rejoice in His presence, and remember that through faith in Christ, you have direct access to the awesome power of heaven.

PRAISE THE LORD AT ALL TIMES!

📖 "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth" (Psalm 34:1).

Did you know that singing to God can release His power? Singing to God is not just music; it's a way to show Him you trust Him. And when you praise Him, He moves on your behalf.

The Bible shows us at different times how God's power was released through praise. In 2 Chronicles 20, God's people were surrounded by enemies. Instead of being afraid, they sang praises to God. As they sang, God fought for them, and they won. Paul and Silas were in prison, but they sang to God too. Suddenly, there was an earthquake, their bonds were loosed, and they were set free (Acts 16:25-26).

So, when something seems difficult, refuse to worry. Sing to God! Your praise is like a key that opens the door for God's power and brings victory!
