Looks like most places do have a sales tax (albeit lower than most VAT), which likely still comes on top of the sales price, which incorporates the import tariff

Still far below the 31% mentioned earlier though. And presumably VAT is also added in addition to the tariff to EU products sold in the US?

@Dubbs_Up @PeerJansen1 @WhiteHouse There will also be 20% VAT on French cars like Peugeot or Renault. So if the reason would be unfair competition, the difference in price for which they are competing with the French consumer would be 10%, not 31%.
