🚨🇵🇹 Cristiano: “I know that whoever works hard, God helps him. It was a tough week, a dark one, it started as if I had retired from football”.
But I held on as I always hold on because I believe in work more than football. It was tough, I have to admit, but we came back”.
Tokunbo used "Dear Chinedu" as a slur for a whole offspring of Rhodes-Vivour.
But you that claim to be a Lagosian, that your family house or name can't be traced is laughing and cheering him on.
Mokan mokan l'oye nkan.
Before Ronaldo, Portugal had only qualified for three word cups out of possible 17. With him, they have qualified for 6 out of 6.
Before Ronaldo, they had only qualified for 3 European championships out of possible 11. With him, they have qualified for 6 out of 6.
Before Ronaldo, they had no major trophies. With him, they have got three in their cabinet.
Which kind of agenda is this, God? 😂😭
I'm Tomori. Shot by police and survived. They refuse to pay medical bills. IGP, CP Lagos, and PPROs are aware.
I may lose the use of my hand forever if I don't get reconstructive surgery. I can't afford it. It's terrifying, but I'm not giving up.
I'm begging you, please read, donate, retweet. Even $5 helps save my hand. 🙏

Bro,you know we always have this discussion everytime we FaceTime 😂😂…
Capitalism in nigeria is just slavery…No sugarcoating about that…
Just imagine that politician’s gateman that couldn’t offer to give a mechanic 3k for coming to service his boss’s cars 🤦🏿♂️…That speaks volume about how rich people treat their workers in this country!
"Look at the absolute foolishness in the quotes."
All because of opening Outlier account.
The single biggest issue for someone based in the diaspora (U.S or U.K) is TAX. More specifically, reporting income tax. In other words, not disclosing monies in your name could be tantamount to fraud. But platforms like Outlier already issues tax forms which makes disclosures easy.
Any other issue is civil not illegal. No one is arresting you because Outlier said so, highest your account will be banned on Outlier if they detect any anomalies. Osim "clearance getting flagged."
Meanwhile, you're not giving anyone your personal details. You're opening the account by yourself and someone else operates by proxy, which in certain jurisdictions is a civil matter for the platform but only fraud if you don't disclose income.
But that wasn't even the focus of the initial post. The focus is that asking for something like this from someone in the diaspora is met with ghosting, other excuses or even accusations of fraud without knowing WHAT Outlier or other data labelling services do.
A simple, "tell me more about this" or "I'm not comfortable opening this account for you" is clear and straightforward.
Indians create outsourcing Agencies because of this and repatriate funds to their home countries through hundreds of similar agencies. Only the black man thinks up individual success as the pinnacle of his achievements and scream FRAUD or SECURITY CLEARANCE if he doesn't understand stuff.
Ask questions, nobody will kee you, onye mpiawa azu.
Men who gloss over women solely for their academic achievements amuse me though.
It’s good to see a woman applying herself but it’s way more important that she’s a reasonable human being.
I’m not saying that going to school and being a reasonable human are mutually exclusive, I’m saying that a woman’s degrees and material worth do not matter to the extent some men gloss over it.
Any idiot can go to school, get degrees and become a Dr.
Nothing is more important in a person than their personal values.
“Islam on the other hand is a choice. It is a conscious, deliberate submission of the heart and mind to the Creator after reasoning” meanwhile if a person is born in Islam there is a VERY high chance the person remains a Muslim and vice versa for Christians and idol worshippers.
When Mallam Nasir El-Rufai titled his book: Accidental Public Servant, many of us celebrated it. We all cherished the book, we all claimed to have read the book, or at least we talked about it endlessly.
But I was hoping that we truly understood the context of that word “Accident” and that it should open up our understanding when people say they are something by accident.
When I said I was Yoruba by accident, it means it was an event completely outside my conscious control. None of you deliberately chose to be Yoruba before you arrived here.
We all grew up to see ourselves as one and we embraced it. We were only Yoruba by the virtues of our parents or forefathers. We didn’t choose them. If my parents were Igbo or Hausa, I would have been one. It was by the accident of nature and this applies to everyone.
Islam on the other hand is a choice. It is a conscious, deliberate submission of the heart and mind to the Creator after reasoning, not a default genetic setting you inherit.
We have many people who were born into Muslim families and still chose not to practice Islam, because faith requires personal conviction. It is an individual accountability, not a tribal card you inherit.
Now let me equally ask you all this question:
why do you people lump Yoruba culture and its traditional pagan practices together?
Why is it that when anyone tries to differentiate them and says he is not doing paganism, you tend to delineate them or call them a bastard?
Can’t I say: I am a Yoruba, but I am not celebrating Egun or Sango with you? If you have a problem with this, then it means you are confused.
For every tribe, one needs to be able to dissect its cultural practices from the traditional pagan practices. It is the pagan practices that I and millions of Yorubas who are Muslims say we would not practice. Never would we.
Let us even bring it home to the issues on the ground. Do you all think if Tinubu or Wasiu were not Muslims I would even care to talk about the Ayajo? Is this my first time seeing people chant it?
I only spoke because we see them as Muslims, and definitely, chanting Ayajo goes completely against Islamic practices. It is a sincere admonition to our fellow Muslims. If they were not Muslims, I would never interfere in their matters because their worship would be their own business.
Like I also said yesterday, Islam has come to embrace the Yoruba culture, refine them and help us bring out the Omoluabi virtues because they all form part of the spirit of Islam. The spirit of deep respect for elders, honor, uncompromising integrity, care for the community, and standing firmly by the truth.
To state it bluntly: The only problem you have with us is because we chose not to celebrate or elevate the paganism practices you are calling us to. You people are not calling to elevating Yoruba culture, you are calling to elevating paganism and like I always say: we would never join you.
I, omo Asunmogejo, will never be a part of you. I am a Yoruba, a future leader at that. We will be the face of Yoruba in Yoruba land and we would elevate its cause to the world to see how beautiful it is without associating partners with our Lord.
Allah knows best.
