After assuming charge as Minister of Irrigation, I visited the Maloibari Electrical Lift Irrigation Scheme (ELIS) under Dimoria LAC to review its functioning on the ground. I inspected four pump centres and the canal network to assess the overall condition of the system.
The scheme has been serving farmers for over five decades, providing assured irrigation to nearly 1,800 hectares and benefiting around 5,000 farmers.
I also interacted with farmers present there to get first-hand feedback on their experience, and with officials to review steps needed for repair, upgradation and improved efficiency to further strengthen irrigation support for the farming community.
Joined Hon'ble CM Dr. @himantabiswa Dangoriya at LGBI Airport for the flagging off of Assam's first international export consignment of GI-tagged Tezpur Litchi to Singapore.
The export of 500 kg of the prized Piyaji variety marks another important step in taking Assam's agricultural excellence to global markets and creating new opportunities for our farmers.

This #WorldEnvironmentDay, as Assam undertakes a drive to plant 1 crore saplings, I planted a Rudraksh sapling at my residence in Guwahati.
Powered by our Nari Shakti, this movement will help build a greener and more sustainable Assam.

Seeking the blessings of Maa Kamakhya and Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev Gurujona as I began the new journey 🙏
Continuing a tradition we have cherished over the years, I felicitated the students of Jagi Bhakatgaon Panchayat who successfully cleared the HS Final and HSLC examinations this year.
Delighted to spend some time with the little stars of Moina Parijat and local residents at Bhasha Swahid Surjya Bora Prekshagriha, Jagibhakatgaon.
These young minds carry our hopes, dreams and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. Their smiles, innocence and energy make every moment special.
Visited Auniati Shakha Satra at Jagibhakatgaon today and had the opportunity to interact with the revered elders.
The discussions were enriching and the warmth and affection extended by everyone made the visit truly memorable. Grateful for their blessings and heartfelt hospitality.
Assam’s Janjatiya communities have preserved their traditions, faith & social systems for generations, women being central to these.
Their self regulation is a model to emulate for all & as a mark of recognition of their customs, they have been kept out of purview of #UCCAssam.
Here are salient features of #UCCAssam, which fulfils one of our foremost ideological promises and brings parity in family law and systems to fully protect our sisters from exploitation & recognise modern family structures whilst protecting rights of indigenous communities.
