If I was sat on the table and didn’t have James’ name written down, him doing this would have been enough for me to pick that slate back up to rub out what I’ve written and put his name down instead #TheTraitors
For 16 years until 2014 Julie Hesmondhalgh played a trans woman called Hayley Cropper on Coronation Street. Nobody screamed. Nobody rioted. There was no national meltdown. People just watched the show and got on with their lives.
During those same years Helen Joyce worked at The Economist and Maya Forstater was a tax advisor and JK Rowling just wrote books.
Oh and Nadia won Big Brother!
So what changed.
Not trans people.
The only thing that changed was the hate campaign.
And rightly so, he was fantastic when he came on.
Thoughts on the price of the World Cup tickets @rioferdy5
A man of the people would surely call @FIFAcom & Infantino out 🤷🏻♂️
Or was your pay packet for the draw (acting 🤯😭) to buy your silence 🤫
all three countries now recognise palestine while simultaneously arming israel and allowing the genocide against the palestinian people to continue. a pathetic gesture that means nothing without sanctions and ceasing to sell arms to israel.
laura woods everybody. 50,000+ palestinian children have been shot in the neck, blown up, shredded, left to die in incubators etc over the last 2 years, not a single peep
death is only relevant to you when a vile fascist gets popped okay man
Laura is a formidable, well respected, award winning sports broadcaster. Understandably, scrolling through her timeline, its all sport. Back to back posts about sports.
Its disappointing that THIS is the thing that triggered Laura to speak out about something other than sport.
What this shows is that mourning some peoples death (a white, American for example) isn't controversial.
Mourning other people's death (Palestinians for example) is "taboo" and "not professional" and "political".
This is the world of moral hypocricy we live in today.
