Also, I remembered this scene. Kevin is gonna have grey hair because of Neil. Not only does Neil fight with him, he also does things like THAT. Their interactions can be so funny 😂

@Maplefoxx_ Kevin thought he found some random skittish boy with potential but he turned to be the most feral cat Kevin has ever seen 😭. Neil really went "okay, I tried to be civil, now you're ALL gonna deal with my temper and attitude problem"

@Maplefoxx_ like before that, Neil still had to be more or less restrained, even when he was furious at Kevin (like during Kathy's show). He could show anger, but he still had to be careful. But when Kevin learned the truth and then Neil realised he was gonna die, there was no point anymore

@Maplefoxx_ Yeah, I agree. That was def his first "lapse of judgement", after that it became harder and harder for him to control his temper, which created a shift in his dynamic with Kevin. I think the reason I brought up the scene of Kevin finally finding out the truth was bc it felt-

@Maplefoxx_ It's actually so funny. He was trying SO HARD to keep low profile, to pretend to be someone he's not, to stay more or less quiet and avoid trouble, but then it all went to hell and he started to act more feral with each chapter, revealing his true self, absolutely destroying-

@Maplefoxx_ behaviour regarding Kevin changed cus he grew to dislike him or smth, but that's not how I interpret it tbh, esp not if we remember their other scenes in book 3 where Neil displays level of care/involvement when it comes to Kevin. They're just assholes xD
