#Palestine36 shows how powerful cinema can be when it tells real stories. More movies should be made portraying Israel’s apartheid system, the occupation of Palestinian villages, what civilians faced, and what Palestinians have endured. This story didn’t start on October 7.
🚨 The first image of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya to emerge since his detention, taken during the ongoing proceedings before Israel’s High Court of Justice in Jerusalem, shows him visibly emaciated, in stark contrast to his appearance before he was taken into Israeli custody.
His son warned this week that the life of Dr. Abu Safiya, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, is in grave danger. He has been held in Israeli detention since December 2024 after refusing to abandon his patients in northern Gaza. The family says Israeli authorities transferred him to solitary confinement in Nafha Prison in retaliation for filing a legal appeal with Israel’s High Court.
According to the family, Dr. Abu Safiya is being held in a two-meter cell, forcibly starved like thousands of other Palestinian prisoners, and denied basic necessities, including clean water, medicine, and access to his lawyer.
@Partisangirl Average soldier of "most moral army in the world."
Interesting fact is that this isn't something happening only nowadays. Their predecessors the soldiers of Haganah, the predecessor organization of the IDF also spoke on camera while laughing about the killing of women and childs.
