- Pakistan were 12 for 1 after 4 overs. Fakhar got set and started to launch after that

- During the first 10 overs, Fakhar primarily dealt in 4s and 6s and dots.

- Played a maiden over of Philips to read his line and length

- Played 3 dot balls of Boult after the rain break

- Believed in his strength i.e. clearing the fence

Fakhar Zaman scored 98 runs off 19 balls in 4s (8) and 6s (11). The admirable part of Fakhar's inning was that he did not play a single false shot despite playing many dot balls. Fakhar is someone who can afford to play many dot balls because his ability to clear the fence is impeccable. Fakhar Zaman: "Everyone in the team works really hard. During my time off, I didn't rest. I went home for 2 days then went to our fielding coach Aftab Khan's academy in Peshawar. He said I struggle against off spin, so he worked a lot with me. I also worked a lot with the batting coach here regularly. I would like dedicate this innings to Aftab Khan and his academy and a boy Ibrahim there who helped me. They saw my weaknesses and worked really hard with me. They gave me so much time."
