“smiles are reserved for sincere interactions” Americans constantly get accused of being “fake” but we are usually just… nice and happy? even if you’re a stranger we ARE having a genuine conversation with you. idk why this is so hard for so many Europeans to understand.
Tired of seeing people try to advocate for trans men but needing to add "yes they have male privilege, but-"
If that privilege can be taken away from someone outing you then is it really privilege?
Wouldn't we see trans men in the positions of power often reserved for cis men?
@rockdispussy@obiwormkenobi Running Piggly Wiggly's like the army is genuinely so insane that's the poor grocery store where I am (I'm guessing that's what you mean by swine related at least)
@isitdiary@maebichka It's very common where I live (small town in the rural American south + Appalachia) and even considered rude not to smile at someone if you make eye contact/if they smile at you first. Bonus if you greet them. It's just cultural cordiality here.
@belovedhrts@connorsseurs I don't agree with the OP but I think they mean they're both high profile queer romances that the characters want to keep under wraps to protect themselves and their reputations. They also are both pairs of a white man with a POC, which can add to the comparison.
