I worked at a nursing home and there was a resident everyone avoided.
Mean, bitter, threw food at staff, cursed at visitors.
I was assigned to him. First week he called me every name you can imagine.
I just kept coming. Changed his sheets, opened his curtains, said good morning.
After a month he said, “You’re either stupid or you don’t listen.” I said, “Both.” He almost smiled. Almost
Random rants:
I hate confrontation, especially with manipulators and narcissists. It drains me completely and anything that drains me, I stay away from.
But here’s my question, when these same people do something to you, how do you handle it?
Do you address it directly and talk to them regardless? Or do you just let it go and protect your peace?
Because I know I’m not alone in this. How do you navigate it?”
Here's one thing I have observed too:
The money you make by luck can't come near the money you make with so much intentionality.
There's so much money when you can explain the reason for your financial action.
Spent half of today touring my pharmacy shelves.
And honestly, I would say a lot of things come together before you record success.
You know what I was busy doing?
Rearranging the shelves for the proper sanity of clients.
No one likes to use medications.
So, I want to ensure they start feeling better right from the counter as they're facing the medication shelves.
It works.
But almost nobody would ever mention it.
Told one of my new managers that I'm putting seriously on, yesterday...
"Today's a good day, and by 12noon we should be at 1m sales"
AT 11:40am, we were already there.
Then gingered her, "By 3:30-4pm, we should be at 2m".
We were at 1.78m at 2:58, and I sent her a message she should follow up and gave her 7pm to hit 3m.
Then a serious rain started at 3:10 pm, and poured till we closed.
Then sales momentum dropped.
That's business during the rainy season.
Today again, I've put her on...
She's looking at me like a magician.
Because we are hitting all the targets relative to time.
But there's something I'm pouring into her already.
And that's business too.
If you have done a particular for long enough time, you should know when and where compound results come from.
