@heidimaher@Talk_2_Em_Chris lol that movie and the movie Polly used to make me cry. I won’t even watch Polly again I sometimes see TikTok’s of clips of it and I’m like 😮💨✋🏼 I’m much more sensitive as an adult I cry at lilo and stitch. When Moana 2 came out grace gave me a trigger warning 😂😆😩
So, me and Alex watched Revenge of the Sith (his first time) when the younglings get murdered he gasped and said “Jesus Christ” instead of laughing. We did watch it on the eve of our baby dying so that might have something to do with it.
An evening rant:
"Well, if he's working full time so his wife can stay home it make sense for her to do most of the housework."
Yes. If a man and woman are are married and she's a housewife it makes sense that she does 90% of the work at home (the 10% being things that may require 2 pairs of hands or she's not strong enough to do.)
It's perfectly reasonable to say, "if we weren't married we would each have to do a job and chores, so we appreciate the other taking that off our plate." This is reciprocity, tit-for-tat. And it makes sense.
Children change the entire dynamic.
Now you have THREE "jobs": a wage-earning job, house management, and child care. More often than not the woman is saddled with 90% of two jobs (that's 180%). Kids make completing tasks difficult, and it varies by day how much you'll be able to accomplish based on now the kids are, schedule, etc. If you add in homeschooling that's an additional complication.
Since neglecting childcare isn't an option, sometimes chores will be left unfinished. Many men see this and think "oh, she was lazy today." Instead of, "oh, she must have had a difficult day. Maybe I should do something."
A little understanding and initiative would go a long way to healing the gender conflicts and stabilizing marriages
I made this thing that cost nothing and my 4yr old loves it so much and looks forward to changing the arrow everyday. I thought it was so stupid and simple, but he really likes it😩
please never let me be the old woman who says “you’ll miss this, they’re only little once” when a mom says “please help me, I’m barely getting through the day. My baby is waking every single hour through the night, I feel like I might die from the deprivation I need help”
one thing that's funny about an antivax childhood is that they genuinely don't know what to do with you when you come into a clinic at 18 and are like hi could i have all of them please
in the same vein of "nobody actually wants a village," the amount of parents who are never allowing sleepovers due to anxiety about SA are contributing to the fact that kids are growing up without knowing how to socially interact with people outside their families.
Decluttering my 9 yo room and THE AMOUNT OF THINGS COMPLETELY DESTROYED AND BROKEN IS INSANE!!! I get tinkering is a boy thing. But stuff is either completely destroyed or pieces of stuff are strewn everywhere. How do I even handle this. Perfectly good stuff is just now trash.
I just watched a video of a girl cooking two crabs alive in a glass air fryer. Bruh it’s 9:30am. I really hope the girl who runs Howie the Crab TikTok doesn’t see that shit it took a dump in my heart. Please kill your crabs before cooking them.
I just saw a video of howies mom reacting to it. Why the f would people tag her in a video of a crab being murdered. Humans are capable of indescribable cruelty 🥲
