Just a reminder that teachers do a lot more behind the scenes than people realize….its almost 9:00PM and I just finished grading papers I had to bring home with me bc I don’t have time to grade during the day 🙃
i think “come one, come all. it’s happening again” is actually one of her most devastating lyrics bc it encompasses so much like the dread and bitter acceptance that people are going to say the same shit they said for years that she thought she wouldn’t have to hear again
Every few years, thousands of people are surprised to learn that I am a fan of Taylor Swift.
1. I am a fan of Taylor Swift. I have been since I first heard Speak Now in 2010.
2. I love Taylor Swift's music and lyrics. You don't have to. But I get to.
3. I love the Taylor Swift fandom. Again, you don't have to. But I get to.
4. Making your whole identity disliking something/someone is weird and a bit sad.
5. TTPD is excellent and I love listening to it. The writing is so, so good.
6. Gentle reminder that I delete almost all of my tweets after a few minutes.
I need yall grown men (and women!!!) to be so careful on these dating apps. These children (LITERAL CHILDREN!! 13/14/15yo) are on there and are admittedly lying to yall about their age. And they have no shame in it. Literally bragging about it to their teachers
I teach freshmen and have a student who is newly obsessed with makeup. She asked me what I do to keep it from creasing around my mouth from my smile lines.
I didn’t have the heart to tell her that my secret is simply that I don’t smile often 💀
in light of #QuietOnSet, I’d really recommend picking up Jennette McCurdy’s memoir. It’s a powerful, personal story of the horrors child/teen actors often face in and outside the home. It was brave of her to speak up this way, and I’m sure she inspired others to do the same.
