I wasn’t particularly interested at first, but since it’s Zach Cregger’s latest film, I went to see “Resident Evil.” Right from the opening, it hits you with music reminiscent of “The Thing.” From there, it’s a relentless barrage of classic horror techniques, terrifying situations, and jump scares that never lets up until the very end. This isn’t a film adaptation of “Resident Evil.” It’s a film about the experience of playing “Resident Evil,” controller in hand. It reminded me of how I felt when I first played the original “Resident Evil” on PlayStation back in 1996. I was just like Bryan in this movie. I kept getting game over after game over, shouting “F***!” over and over again. lol I’m also happy I managed to pick up a program for “Digger.”
Ada's new dress is cool, despite them absolutely butchering the "classic" as an alternate costume
All the rest, christ, whoever started the "just give them a tank top and jeans" trend (I think it was Mia's design in RE7?) needs to be shot
There's like zero creativity anymore
One of the reasons I love the 2022 remake of Hellraiser is that it remembers that the real villain isn't the cenobites, it's dudes who think their dime-a-dozen sadism makes them tortured sex gods who seek out the box in sheer ignorance of what door it actually opens.
I am absolutely over the moon to hear Doug Bradley's voice as OG Pinhead again, but I hope we also get to see Jamie Clayton's version again someday. One of the few reimaginings of a classic horror character that rivals the original.
I really don't like this type of thinking where you have to be a brainless shill who likes everything or nothing because the last two are legitimately a different character entirely and there's nothing wrong with having an issue an issue about that
LOVING VINCENT was released 9 years ago today.
It became the world’s first fully painted feature film. More than 100 painters created over 65,000 oil paintings by hand, with each frame painted in Van Gogh’s distinctive style.
just learned they’re going THE EXORCIST III route: serial killer crime procedural infused with religion/exorcism..yeah this is gonna be an all timer folks
