#ThisTeam
This is what I donโt think people understand.
When we BEG for the hate on him to calm down, its because in the exact moment heโs referencing, he was also getting 4,000+ comments on social media telling him heโs worthless, heโs a bad person, and he should k*ll himself. To the point he had to delete a post, remove social apps from his phone, and hide himself away. And even though heโs in such a bad place, he always lets himself read the comments. We know that because even adds a like to the worst ones.
Does he mess up sometimes in what he says? Absolutely. Does he desperately need actual PR support that his team isnโt providing? Without a doubt. But does he deserve to be told he should d*e while heโs at an alarmingly low point? No, no one does.
Weโve watched this fun, goofy guy get lower and darker and sadder all year, to the point that as a fan itโs gotten scary. He got his first win ever, and then he was suddenly thrown into a championship challenge neither he nor his team were prepared for.
And the most damaging part is that because he knew his team gave him the best car heโs ever had, he believed he needed to give them absolute perfection because thatโs what he believed they deserved.
Because of that pressure he put on himself weโve watched him shred himself to pieces after heโs made a mistake. Weโve watched him make excuses for his teamโs mistakes and take the blame on himself for their errors. Weโve watch his team principal nail into him through the media each week that they werenโt supporting him for that championship challenge. When the team itself has made incompetent mistakes weโve seen them push the blame on him in the media, while the teamโs PR stayed silent and watched as he got beaten to death in the public eye.
Itโs not that we donโt see that he makes mistakes. Itโs that its frightening how bad this has gotten, while at the same time its become almost a hobby to hate him; not for the way he drives, but for every aspect of who he is or what he does - the way he sits in a chair while on tv, the way he uses his pointer finger as a #1 when he celebrates, the way heโs too nice but too cocky but too gentle but too egotistical but not mentally strong enough but takes himself too seriously.
Weโve watched him pull himself away from social media and seen him isolate himself from his normal connections to the world. Weโve watched the smiley spark burn out in him. Weโve watched his mental health plummet.
And thatโs why we beg for empathy. We genuinely donโt know what else to do. Whether you like him or not, whether you believe in mental health or not, we all collectively know now that he isnโt in a good place.
If you have a better way of fixing the situation, then please - let someone know. Until then, the next time he makes a mistake (because he will, we ALL do), before sending him that damaging comment, pause for a moment and remember heโs a real person who is really struggling. And then hope the people around him actually care enough to help.
[CONCOURS] Juste envie de vous rรฉgaler pour cette rentrรฉe, donc lโun ou lโune dโentre vous va repartir avec le nouvel iPhone 16 et un MacBook Air !ย ๐ป
