Je vois 3 théories possibles :

1️⃣ Ils ont vu des choses dans leurs modèles qui les ont vraiment effrayés.

2️⃣ Ils ont atteint un plafond et n’arrivent plus à faire progresser l’IA. Pour garder les investisseurs, ils vendent le récit inverse : « Notre IA est tellement puissante qu’elle pourrait détruire le monde. »

3️⃣ Leurs modèles deviennent assez autonomes pour menacer leur propre entreprise, du style des agents pourraient échapper à leur contrôle, perturber l’économie d’un pays ou causer des dégâts dont ils seraient tenus responsables.
Ils voudraient donc réguler avant que ça devienne incontrôlable, pour assurer leur propre pérennité.
