Zohran Mamdani spoke at a Rikers Island graduation ceremony honoring 57 incarcerated people who earned their high school diplomas.
One graduate, Elijah Smith, said he didn’t expect the mayor to show up, but his presence meant something: “It helped. Someone cares about the incarcerated individuals in this jail.”
Sometimes dignity starts with simply showing up.
@xin_xvi I miss hanging outside of Org and dueling randoms and straight up making friends. I found guilds that way, made friendships that have lasted decades via just slappin meat in the desert w/ the homies.
Even in the decline of Twitter you can still see incredible things like viral Longest Journey slander in 2026. You're not getting primo bullshit like this on Bluesky. You're not getting viral posts designed to kill you specifically
I need to be absolutely serious for once.
Never, EVER reply 'yes' or similar to tweets like this. In the UK you'll do 14 years in jail (not a joke). If you're abroad and visit, you'll be arrested at the airport.
Crazy that this tweet was made by a UK politician to trap people.
I don't fully agree but to my understanding there's 3 main reasons people hold this opinion
1. At least half of the best part of D2's story is literal lost media.
2. Taken King clears every other expansion for worldbuilding and it's not even a little close. Basically everything interesting from Forsaken to TFS is based on the lore and world mechanics TTK established, so it gets the credit even though the ideas as people all came to enjoy them were expanded upon in D2.
3. D2's payoffs for a lot of the major characters and ideas are admittedly lackluster. Rasputin being giganerfed in both character complexity and actual power and the Witness having a kind of lame design and motivation come to mind. The Nine are honestly quite interesting but we never got enough time with them as major players to really explore them so now they just look shallow by comparison.
New today: Peter Thiel's secret society of illuminati had a website so insecure it exposed his entire membership list. And it's... interesting. His Palatantir folks, sure. Leonard Leo. The president of Stanford. Ezra Klein. And some D politicians who really shouldn't be there. 1/
I think this is good advice for creators in general. I forget who, but way back one of the Hololive talents said she writes down topics on a notepad whenever she went out, in order to bring them back as ideas or chat topics for stream. For those who can't go out due to location or disability; even new experiences in the online space can serve as creative fuel. It's always a good idea to experience stuff outside our own industries!
already at ~4k layoffs so far this year, and if these studio closures go thru, 2026 will candidly beat last year's total of ~9k jobs lost. three cheers for the games industry everyone !
@OrganizerMemes as a human with empathy, this was very hard to read. as a muslim, i am confused why he expected different from the GOP. they can't even handle south american christians, there's no way they can handle a conservative muslim.
