Not sure if you’re aware, but a young woman died at @CartrackZA’s offices, and they’re reportedly super abusive.
Can you maybe interview the CCMA about why Caetrack allegedly has never lost a case there? And Dept of Labor, Human Rights Commission about holding them accountable?
Yazi sometimes you look at some girls and think:
how is struggling to keep a man emuhle kanje… then you listen to them speak…
And you’re like there it is🥴🥴🥴
@Smaangele Kubuhlungu yazi. That even with all this uproar the employees continue to clock in for work and are still afraid to stand up for themselves. That they are forced to work for that evil man who doesn't even care about them. Sihluphekile as abantu abamnyama yoh I am heartbroken.
I reflected on this. I too will not stay in an abusive company. But I realised it’s easy to say this when you have an option. I am just imagining the state Gcina was in, where despite her compromised health, she found no choice but to put her life at risk and save her job. MHSRIP
That Cartrack billionaire built a penthouse on top of the office building so he can overlook his workforce and tell them when and when not to use the stairs because he felt his workers needed to lose weight. I wish I made this up
This is the time for the workers to finally speak up on the abuse they go through and get the department of labour to intervene but they are so scared to do that. It is so disheartening
This story is so sad and speaks to the gross abuse of our people's desperation for jobs. If unemployment was not so high, she would have left anyway. 💔
@Bhuti_Steve Tough tough thing to say, people need jobs to sustain themselves and in a country riddled by high unemployment rate companies are taking advantage. Its hard to get a job while employed now imagine when unemployed.
