โIf you can throw for 500 yards on somebody, youโre probably going to win the game. But if you can run for 500, youโre guaranteed to win the game and it takes their soul.โ

FOOTBALL FINAL: Henry County 47, Harrison County 14
The Wildcats win their season opener over the Thorobreds.
HC returns to action at Lafayette on Friday, Aug. 29 at 7:30 p.m.
We at D&D Sports Network are heartbroken to hear of the passing of legendary Belfry football coach Philip Haywood after an auto accident a few days ago.
Coach Haywood coached for 50 seasons, amassing 491-62 record while winning 8 state titles and earning 6 runner-up finishes. His win total is the most in Kentucky history.
While he was a legendary coach in every sense of the word, Haywood was a better man. He spent his life molding young men to be successful both on and off the gridiron.
Please pray for his friends, family, players and everyone in the Belfry community. This loss affects so many people.
Rest In Peace, Coach Haywood. You will be missed by everyone who was blessed to know you.
