If you're at Citi Field right now, and this is your first game, welcome to the fan base! What you just witnessed in the 9th inning is unfortunately what they call "that's so Mets". It's something we've begrudgingly grown used to. A stellar pitching performance from a young rookie, Weaver mowing (who is so good he's probably pitching himself off the team)... and then an error on what would have been a game ending double play. Instead they blew the 2-0 lead, the Red Sox are winning in the 10th, and you're still sitting there when you should be on your way home. Hopefully they come back and tie or win it here in the bottom of the 10th. If they don't, hopefully you had fun. That's not sarcasm either. The ballpark is great. A day at the park is supposed to be fun. Of course it would be way better if they won the damn thing. LGM.
