@Meonavae Personally my OCs just tend have the same kinds of aesthetics I already like drawing anyways, so even though I donโt have a niche, I tend to draw similar things most of the time, and my OCs naturally fit into that bc I draw what I like and make OCs based on what I like too
@Meonavae I guess youโd just have to match your OCs to your branding (or branding to your OCs). You donโt always have to draw in a specific thematic niche though and honestly I feel that itโs damaging to follow-retention long term bc ppl get used to see one thing and leave when they donโt
@loemyn Generally freelancers have multiple income sources beyond just comms, like merch (especially print on demand items), paytreeon, custom brushes, etc. Prioritizing simpler faster comm options (like sketches) also helps a lot
@delilaartx This is a very common thing that happens if someoneโs acc gets hรคcked, so itโs unlikely the actual user sent you that out of the blue. You should try to find them on a diff platform and notify them that their acc is compromised and sending scรคm l!nks to people
@soapm121 Artists whose posts do well without those methods usually built their insta accs a long time ago when the app wasnโt so video-focused. Insta kinda feels like TikTok 2.0 now.
@soapm121 I think with insta once you figure out the way the algo works things will start to do better-ish. Insta kind of has a specific way you have to post to do well (basically trial reels with good text hooks is the only real way to get seen there)
@heavenlyoid Instrumental music or music in languages I donโt speak are the best because I wonโt get distracted by hearing words! Video game BGM is great for this. I really like the music from pkmn mystery dungeon games in particular
