The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Bar Mess are hosting a dinner at Christ's College for members of the Bar and Judges (past and present) (of all disciplines) who practice within the local area on 6 September 2024.
RSVPs can be made directly to me.
I had the pleasure of being taught Trial Advocacy by Judge Carroll. He was adamant I would pursue a career at the Bar from the first time we spoke, at which point I didn’t intend to do so. He was a driving force behind my career choice and I’m eternally grateful for his guidance
The Samford family mourns the passing of Judge John Carroll, Dean of Cumberland School of Law from 2001-2014. Judge Carroll was a beloved colleague and friend. Prayers extend to Susan and the entire family.

It may have been 2.5 years since I was Called to the Bar, but I finally got to celebrate yesterday at Middle Temple. So much has changed in that time, and I’m incredibly grateful for all the opportunities I have been presented with.
Thrilled that @fennerschambers was awarded Best Criminal Team at the Cambridge Law Society Awards on Friday evening and our fantastic clerk was recognised as highly commended for Best Support Staff!
When I was in the Mags Court every day, this baby of a book carried me through all my battles.
I’ve been asked to spread the word that you can get this from 28th March below with 30% off using code ALAUTHC4 - might be handy for pupils & junior tenants❤️

Returned home from Christmas to find I’ve got no WiFi and 2-3 days until and engineer can come out. This just means I go back to eating cheese instead of work, right?
Yesterday, I successfully completed my first jury trial!!
I’d been saving this bottle since January as I was determined I’d do one this year. It’s now open!
The phone call you don’t want at 2:45 on a Friday is that your client has been picked up for breach of bail and you need to be at the court in 15 mins. And just when I thought all my Attendance notes for the week were done 🤦🏼♀️
@MichaelaPinkLtr Yes! I did it. It’s really hard, and you will have little to no social life for the year. But I did it out of necessity and commuted and I came out the other side. Feel free to message me 😊
