Lazy but they are the ones getting all the distinctions in med school?
Look at what HOs are currently facing with their salaries. These guys are just more aware than us and yes they won’t and shouldn’t kill themselves for a system that doesn’t care about them.
"You're a doctor, you should know."
Medicine has 12 specialties, thousands of conditions, and constantly updating research.
No. One. Person. Knows. Everything.
That's why referrals exist. Respect them.
February this year Dr. Ogbomade Samson Romani a House officer at Delta state hospital management agency was beating up by patient relatives.
The young doctor suffered from a tympanic membrane rupture and other complications following the assault, since then he has been repeatedly falling ill and the hospital he worked never offered him any care until recently when he slumped and was rushed to the ICU.
His assaulters were never arrested and the association only went on strike following another assault that occured last week Saturday because management sees assault as a norm.
A WhatsApp Necrology telling us how he was a hardworking doctor shouldn't be the end of this painful demise, the healer should not be killed by those he devotes himself to healing, Dr Romani deserve justice, his assaulters should be made to face the wrath of the law.

Nigerians won't bat an eye paying a celebrity tailor 1m for a bespoke attire.
They'd happily pay a lawyer 500k for consultation, a lawyer that's not yet a SAN oo.
They'd pay a photographer 2m for a 1 day event, and 150k for a 15mins studio session and 5 pictures.
They'd pay a travel consultant 200k for a 10 minutes over the phone consultation.
They'd pay house agents 10k each to see one property.
They'd pay an MC 500k to speak at their father's burial.
But God forbid that the hospital demands that they pay to see a consultant doctor, then all hell breaks loose.
That's where they draw the line.
We were in the car after a long day, both of us exhausted. He was on the phone with a friend through the speakers, and they were talking about life, work, stress… all of it.
At one point his friend joked, “Man, marriage must be tiring.”
Without even thinking, he said, “Nah. Marriage isn’t tiring. Life is tiring. My wife is the part that makes it worth it.”
I froze in the passenger seat.
He kept driving like he didn’t just shift my entire world with one sentence.
Later that night I asked him if he really meant it.
He looked at me confused and said,
“Of course. You’re not my responsibility. You’re my reward.”
And I swear, in a world where people talk about marriage like it’s a burden…
He talks about it like he won the lottery.
And that’s all the reassurance I’ll ever need.
We admitted a newly diagnosed 16 year old girl with HbSS.
She needed an urgent EBT, but her family couldn’t afford the three pints of blood she needed.
My MO had to personally buy the first dose of drugs just so treatment could begin. We’ve been running around trying to get social services involved so they can help cover the bills.
When people say Nigerian doctors have no empathy, it’s honestly infuriating.
They never see this side of medicine the part where we go above and beyond just to keep someone alive.
My Boy has become a cautionary Medical statistic?
My world is upended.
I've fought for so many patients, only to hear you passed on alone, in a callroom, while on duty.
I may never recover from the shock of this loss.
Do you know the miles I've gone for other patients?????
A sad day again😔. Another Nigerian Dr Dead after 72hrs Call, despite complaints of being sick which was ignored and still made to work. 💔 How many more death to prove that @MDCNOfficial needs to Regulate Dr’s working hours??😭
Today, we mourn the death of a promising young doctor, Dr Femi. Loved by family and friends, failed by his home country Nigeria 💔. He was also said to have passed his PLAB exams and awaiting a job opportunity in the UK, until this sad event.
This is the sad situation of many Nigerian doctors, most of whom are alive but dying silently from overwork.
We call on @muhammadpate , @FatimaKyari to please put an end to these deaths. It’s time to #regulatedrsworkinghours #abolish32hrsworkeverycallday . We are begging the Nigerian government @officialABAT@NGRSenate to please come to doctors Aid🙏🏻. Lets please regulate Drs working hours now 🙏🏻
