A list of things you can do differently that'd help you save more money in 2026?

1. Buy food in bulk(every 2-3mths)
2. Cut down on Uber or Bolt,enter bus(remember: you're not rich👍)
3. Visit cheaper salons( a beautiful interior doesn't mean their services are excellent)
4. Buy data every 3-6mths( daily data these days dey kill😭😭)
5. Cut down on ordering food or visiting expensive restaurants....Try to cook,cooking is cheaper.
6. Buy fashion items in instalments( there are vendors that do this),and be faithful to it
You can pay for a wig of 200k in 4-6 Instalments instead of once.

Brother, with respect that’s due, this kind of post is wrong and quite discouraging to sisters who may be struggling with dressing but are still conscious of their salah. Yes, modesty is an important obligation of Islam, but we should never forget that people grow in stages, and Allah values the effort of His servants even when it seems small.

Allah says in the Qur’an:
“So fear Allah as much as you are able and listen and obey and spend [in the cause of Allah]; it is better for your souls.” (Qur’an 64:16)
This verse shows that Allah looks at the effort of each individual, according to their ability and current state.

A sister who may not yet be fully modest in her dressing but still carries her khimar/hijab to pray is showing that her heart is alive, that she values her salah, and that she does not want to stand before Allah in disobedience. This is not hypocrisy; it is striving. And Allah loves the striving servant, at least these sisters are not praying in indecent dressing.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The most beloved of deeds to Allah are those that are consistent, even if they are small.” (Bukhari & Muslim)
That small act of covering up just to pray may be the door through which Allah grants her complete guidance.

Also, the Prophet ﷺ told us:
“Indeed, between a man and shirk and kufr is the abandonment of the prayer.” (Muslim)
So a Muslimah who values her prayer and guards it even if she struggles in other areas is in a much better position than one who abandons salah completely even if dress decently.

Mocking or belittling her effort and calling it fooling is dangerous. Allah warns us in the Qur’an:
“Do not ridicule one another… And do not insult one another with nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after faith.” (Qur’an 49:11) you may need to seek forgiveness and delete this post.

Instead of discouraging, we should make dua for them and encourage them gently. Remember that guidance comes gradually and it only comes from Allah. Some started with salah before hijab, some with hijab before salah, and some with neither until Allah opened their hearts. The important thing is that they are striving, and Allah promises:
“As for those who strive in Our cause – We will surely guide them to Our ways.” (Qur’an 29:69)

So please, let us not look down on the efforts of those who are still holding on to salah. With patience and encouragement, Allah may guide them to higher levels of obedience. But with mockery, we may push them away and become a barrier to guidance.

Lastly, may our social media post not stand against us on the day of judgment. Amin.
