Goodyear falls 3% as Trump says not to buy its tires because it decided to “allow our associates to express their support on racial injustice“ but “ask that they refrain from workplace expressions ... in support of political campaigning for any candidate or political party.”
This week Dr. Anthony Fauci testified, “Deaths always lag considerably behind cases.”
Also— doctors agree that more testing leads to finding more cases.
But they also say if those cases are properly traced and contained, the numbers would go down.
I’m getting pretty tired of these news cycles where we have endless dances over whether the President meant what he said. Don’t his actions speak loudly enough?
Important context as Pres Trump tours Arizona & boasts about building hundreds of miles of wall: Trump has added *3 miles* of new barrier where no barrier existed before he took office.
It’s taken 3.5 years & about $15 billion to replace about 180 miles of outdated fencing.
President Trump calls today's jobs news "a tremendous tribute to equality." The unemployment rate fell from 1 percent. Black unemployment rate went up by .1%. Asian American unemployment rate went up by .5%.
Kellyanne Conway says it's wrong to call President Trump's walk to St. John's Church a photo-op. That is "calling into question" Trump's faith.
Note: Trump walked over from the White House to the church, held up a bible, and posed for photos. Most would call that a photo-op.
Not that I expect any one person to solve this, but I don't hear anything he is tangibly doing to show he is hearing the call of the protests and working to enact change.
In @realDonaldTrump's speech addressing the nation on the federal response to the escalating protests of POLICE BRUTALITY he calls for local officials to send in an "overwhelming law enforcement presence." Not to de-escalate, but to "dominate."
I just took action with the @NAACP and contacted my representatives about legislation that would provide an equitable recovery for communities of color. Take action with me. https://t.co/Pqe9ML5AaH #BLM#BlackOutTuesday
