We are grateful to the family of Kev Gratton, a much-loved husband, dad, brother, and friend, for sharing his story with us. Kev sadly died in October, less than two years after being diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Following his diagnosis, Kev underwent surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. Even when the tumour returned and he faced further treatment, he refused to give up. In his final months, Kev lost much of the movement on his left side and used a wheelchair, yet he continued with physiotherapy and faced every challenge with strength and positivity.

To honour Kev, his family has been fundraising for Brain Tumour Research. From taking on Race the Train in Wales to completing other 10k runs and an upcoming charity gig in November, they have raised more than £17,500, funding six days of vital research at our Centres of Excellence.
