Want to know what kind of movies Netflix is making over the next few years? A massive new report from The Insneider just revealed what Netflix is planning to make.
> Quality > Quantity: The target is now just 30 original movies a year.
> Action movies are going back to grounded, '90s/early 2000s-style thrillers. Heavy CGI space operas are out.
> Comedy Swings: They want massive star vehicles (Sandler/Hart) OR cheap, sub-$20M comedies aimed at specific audiences (the North Star is Superbad).
> Family Tentpoles: Searching for big 4-quadrant adventures like Jurassic Park and high-concept comedies like Mrs. Doubtfire.

It takes a lot to make an incredibly good movie like "Oppenheimer" and just after you make an insanely great movie like the "The ODYSSEY"
There are indeed some filmmakers touched by God
@imPatrickT I really wish I could witness one of the greatest movie of all time on IMAX 70Mm film but we just don't have one in ghana. I don't even think we have one in Africa @imPatrickT
As a DC fan, I’m sad, but as Ryan Gosling said:
"Here we are, we’re all back in theaters. It’s not your job to keep them open, it’s our job to make things that make it worth you coming out."
It makes sense. The total box office is around $100.5M, but with a $170M budget (and a ~$315M break-even target), WB had to move it to digital to recoup cash.
