@OzSmartThings have been super helpful supplying some Shelly 1&2PM devices for the start of my home automation journey.
Would recommend if you need this kind of gear.
@joshgessner@CLEBrownsfan84@joshgessner as an older guy who wished he could get 1/10th along the path you took, it was a very interesting read. Thank you. Will pass it on to my son to read.
Sometimes I have notes to write.. measurements or something that will be thrown away, and I just can’t write them in this nice new notepad because it feels like wasted potential for the notepad.
Can someone explain why a regular weekly transfer for the same amount needs to be held up over Easter?
Money left my account Thursday and it’s Monday and still not here!
Religious servers 🤷♂️ why!?!?
@arstechnica Touchscreens look cool but are totally impractical when you’re driving. You have to take your eyes off the road and look to make sure you tap the right part.
@LeviEirinberg This is good but you should also be able to train it to not care about certain people. I open my wife’s phone for legit reasons all the time but my face isn’t recognised, but I know the pin.
Great way to crush morale:
Respond to “At my last workplace we did X with this other platform” with “well you left there to come here, now you do it our way. Don’t come to me with new tech.”
What the?!?! You need to retire, leave or be demoted NOW!! You’re not helping!!
@anubpattnaik@haxzie_ I’m with both of you. My ocd (which probably isn’t ocd) doesn’t like the different sized buttons, but also the two buttons should be distinguished in some way… and not by a handful of pixels in size. 😝
one site even let me change the password to 55 characters, and then on the login screen said "Your password can't be longer than 30 characters" and wouldn't let me log in. What The!?!?!
After a recent password breach, I'm changing all my passwords. Here's what I've found:
1. Some sites don't let you change password
2. Some make you use the "forgot password" link at login
3. Many don't offer MFA
4. Instructions on complexity rules are often not clear
