Or was it a matter of palpatine not even really being there and giving Vader a vision to have him think he beat him with palpatine being stronger than even this super powerful version of Vader?
@Raffaele_Ienco hi I just finished reading Vader 2020 issue 50 and I was quite confused what happened. I was hoping you could clarify what actually went down in Vader and Sidious’s fight?
I also noticed that in the comic Vader goes from saying hate you hate you and beating obliterating palpatine to saying hate me hate me and then just hate I’m not sure what that’s supposed to mean was he consumed by his hate or palpatine after killing him? Or blinded by it?
We saw in comic 40 they were close to one another with sidious having a slight edge so I’m confused how Sidious beat him here since Vader had grown in power since. Did Sidious actually die and come back to life or possess Vader did Vader lose because he wasn’t evil enough
?
Was it a matter of Vader not being powerful enough in the force or was he more powerful in the force but palpatine utilized mind tricks to manipulate him? How did palpatine disintegrate but then come back to life? And why are there two different depictions of the fight?
@youklledme @RaithVsTheWrld @oddwin It’s a triple entendre “D Made Ya” not just referencing the prior war military scheme “major” and him being up like u said
@Raffaele_Ienco That’s good to hear! I’ve really been enjoying where Greg and you have been taking the Vader comics recently. Have really been a fan of the force wave scourge and Vader vs Palps dynamic currently going on and I’m looking forward to see where you guys end up taking it!
@Raffaele_Ienco hi I was wondering if you could answer a question for me I wasn’t sure if it’s been clarified yet but on wookiepedia Vader issue 45 is the last one listed. Has that been officially confirmed as the last of the Vader 2020 comic run?
@cvuser97 @pabl0hidalgo@pabl0hidalgo I was under the impression that he gives ahsoka her sabers right before rescuing the chancellor, as in the same day. Would this imply anakin growing in power after his fight with dooku given the fight itself is not touched on but the chancellor being rescued is?
However some people believe that the comics are being built up to establish ROTJ Vader prior to his fight with Luke as his peak in power. I was wondering your thoughts on this and which variant you personally think would be stronger? If you’re able to answer that is? Thanks.
@Raffaele_Ienco hi sorry to bother but I had a question I was wondering if you could give some insight into? I’m not sure if this question will eventually be answered by the Vader comics but I’ve seen a difference in interpretation of current Vader (the one we saw in issue 40)
Compared to the Vader of ROTJ, personally for me I always interpreted the Vader of ROTJ to be weak willed conflicted etc and this progresses into his fight with Luke which seems to be a contrast with how Vader is portrayed in his recent fight with sidious.
@missingwords@pabl0hidalgo hi, I was wondering if when a Jedi becomes a force ghost (Anakin, Luke, Yoda) do they achieve their full potential? I wasn’t sure if this was ever specified in any canon sources so I had to find out. Thanks!
@pabl0hidalgo@missingwords hi hope you are both doing well. I had a question regarding what Ahsoka says in her show to Anakin in episode 5, that he became more powerful and dangerous than anyone realized which I assumed was likely referring to her rebels fight with Darth Vader?
Would that be fair to say? To add on would it be fair to say that Ahsoka was aware of how the Jedi (Yoda, Mace Kenobi) viewed him, especially after hearing he beat someone like Dooku?
Like would it be possible for an event, or information coming out in a comic or novel to be overriden, because of Lucas opinions 20 years ago implying otherwise?”
@pabl0hidalgo@missingwords
Hi, hope both of you are doing well, I had a question I was hoping one of you could answer for me? It was regarding what the movies and shows being the main mediums actually entail for the Star Wars Canon Universe
In other words, would events or information that are depicted in novels/comics hold as much relevance as the information and events in movies unless some sort of contradiction is presented in those comics/novels?
