Welcome to the world of the Protest Economy. As always, we'll discuss whether the leaders of CJP and opp should have been detained. But this is a real-life game theory scenario.
I am glad they let them vent last time. But the fact is, last time we had massive property damage and injuries to cops and random citizens.
This time, there was intelligence that counter-protestors were going to self-mobilise, as BJP was not able to control people fed up with cockroaches. Listen, there are a ton of people that might vote for the BJP, but the BJP cannot control adjacent opportunists. People are genuinely fed up with anarchists. They like order, and they feel the BJP let anarchy prevail, so maybe the answer is to add fuel to that anarchic fire.
So that would have become a massive issue. So the trade-off is either let everyone on the streets and risk absolute chaos, or detain everyone and let peace prevail.
