Theology matters. How much? Bad theology can actually help start #WW3. Should we #StandWithIsrael? Well, of course. Always! But, *who* is Israel? The Scriptures say,

"not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel" - Romans 9:6

People who reject Christ are explicitly named as not being "Israel." This is not to say that the modern State of Israel doesn't have the right to defend itself. It is to say that bad theology could blind our nation's leaders to God's Standards regarding just wars and whether or not starting a world war with incomprehensible numbers of human casualties is pleasing to God and something that He will bless. It can be the theological hook that drags us and our children into an ocean of bloodshed.

Standing with Israel after the resurrection of the Messiah would mean standing with all those who have faith in Jesus Christ. Which is a body of believers that is filled with both Jews and Gentiles. Entering into a global war for the sake of a nation that denies Christ is not "standing with Israel." Biblically.

Bad theology hurts people. In this case, potentially with thermonuclear heat.
