@xan_mh It really is hilarious how bad most of MH YT is. Recently got into wilds again after dropping it since AT Rey, and all the videos I'm seeing for updates I missed either tell me nothing of value or are minimum effort vids released within a few days of the initial update.

@ZionBurger @ZebraQuake Teostra nova still existed in old games and White Fatty would periodically fly out of the map and rain lightning, but they don't really fit the category of the post-Behemoth novas. Nothing like the HP-based Safi, Fatalis, Jin, Zoh nukes which involve hiding behind something.

@keigreatsword And if they do join/host public lobbies they're generally just there to have fun and chill like everyone else. It's not like speedrunners are in speedrun mode 100% of the time, everyone will still play the game just to play the game from time to time.

@CSMPiano @ZebraQuake There's probably players who label themselves as "speedrunners" (killed reg nergi in 3 min) to win some dumb argument about a set they're using. Every actual speedrunner I know or have played with in public lobbies has been super chill and messes around just like regular players.

It's good that people with more energy and passion for the scene are still doing all the investigating - I'm just tired of it all personally. On top of IRL commitments, nowadays I can't bring myself to reset for even an hour much less be concerned about what others are up to.

Seeing MH cheating blow up again on Twitter just reminds me of how tiring it all is. Not just figuring out the new cheats runners are coming up with, but also the witch hunting that ensues. Makes me glad to have stepped away from running and most MH communities on Discord.
