Watching the Zambia 🇿🇲 – Ghana 🇬🇭 fugu banter, I realised it was never really about the cloth. What Ghana defended so strongly and with such unwavering confidence, was not just fashion, but heritage and a clear sense of who they are as a people.

That reaction quietly exposes something about us too. Sometimes it feels like we either have not fully defined our own cultural identity, or we do not carry it with the same pride and certainty. Not because we lack history, but because we have not yet agreed on what binds us together beyond tribe, politics, geography etc.

To our good people of Ghana 🇬🇭, please don’t take offense. This was just a friendly cultural appreciation. In many ways, it was a lesson in what it looks like when a nation truly knows itself. 🇬🇭🤝🇿🇲
