One thing I realised today is that, as a woman there will ALWAYS be people who tell you that you would be better if you were opposite of who you are, whether it be physical appearance or personality.
Also now that I think about it I could have been such a good lawyer lawyer if I didn't start crying and emotional whenever an argument gets serious. What a tragic flaw.
I feel this is the case with most desi parents, a lot of times their advices are actually right but their tone and the language they employ makes us disregard it.
I have finally managed to get my brother to start a skincare routine. I can't express how amazing I feel having achieved this. I still have to see if he stays consistent but small wins still count.

When someone is hurtful or racist towards you, don’t reciprocate. It doesn’t give you the green light to behave the same towards them. Don’t let the ugliness of someone else’s character change who you are. Remember that ugliness is a reflection of their character. Not yours.
How is it that my friends are almost done with the syllabus already and still panicking and here I am who hasn't finished a single unit being as relaxed as I can be.
