Beyond proud of my brother @AsadFromNYC being appointed as the next official Brooklyn Borough Historian.
Asad has encyclopedic knowledge of the history and demography of Brooklyn (and NYC writ large) — he’s already a hot commodity for doing videos with congressional and state leg candidates on the history of their districts.
He has uncommon levels of wisdom and emotional intelligence, especially for someone who is only 33.
And he’s simply one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I have gotten the privilege to know over the last few years.
Can’t wait to see how he innovates the position, and helps us all to appreciate the borough and city we call home.

The rule would make NYC the first city in the nation to ban subscription traps and force companies to make it just as easy to cancel subscriptions as it is to enroll.
