If you want a better life, be intentional. With who you spend time with, what you work on, what you tolerate, what you say yes to, what you say no to, and what you let leave your mouth. None of these things are neutral. They’re either building your future, or quietly eroding it.
"EVERY RECORD HAS BEEN FALSIFIED, EVERY BOOK REWRITTEN, EVERY PICTURE REPAINTED, EVERY STATUE AND STREET BUILDING RENAMED, EVERY DATE ALTERED..." - GEORGE ORWELL, "1984"
War is never inevitable. Weapons can and must fall silent, for they never solve problems but only intensify them. Those who sow peace will endure throughout history, not those who reap victims. Others are not enemies to hate but human beings with whom to speak.
People are surprised why India gets no global support and is disliked even by small nations like Nepal. But what did you expect?
Since 2014, hyper-nationalism, communal bigotry, and a superiority complex have been oozing out of us.
The world once admired our humility, politeness, and tolerance, not this inflated arrogance fuelled by a useless Govt.
The 1972 Simla Agreement between India and Pakistan had left no scope for the UN or any other third party to play any role in resolving the “outstanding issues” between the two countries. The Rubio statement reverses that long standing Indian position.
This must be the last war, No more civilian deaths, no more soldiers lost, no more homes destroyed in this madness. It's crisp and clear now that both nations cannot afford a full-scale war despite what media studios project both sides. Today, reality exposed the myth once again.
A small group of people took out peace marches in different parts of Indian Punjab and Pakistani Punjab.
Peace, Not war was slogan of one of the protest. People have called both nations to Stop The War.
Liberals asking us to "believe the government" as it takes us to all our war. This government. That has blatantly lied to it's people again and again. That has abandoned it's citizens to die in the thousands when things got bad. This is who we are supposed to follow into war.
Are you proud of the sacrifices by our soldiers? then YOU need know this
It's not a soldier's choice to 'sacrifice' his life for YOU, it is a decision imposed onto them by the executive powers
Our armed forces are NOT 'responding' to an enemy attack, they were told to AVENGE😿
Thinking of those who step up at this time: soldiers, factcheckers, DMs & city admin, hospital staff & doctors, ambulance drivers, volunteers etc.
So many work quietly to ensure their fellow citizens get through this, far from the racket of keyboard warriors or TV anchors.🕊️
IMF has shamelessly granted a $2.3 billion package to Pakistan.
Most of the 24 Executive Directors (representing 190 member countries), including the U.S., China, Japan, Germany, France, and the UK, supported the decision. India was the only country that abstained.
Name any country, and they’re complicit. There are leaders of nations who may show support to India on social media, but they are happily funding Pakistan against us.
Given India's growing global influence, it is unfortunate that we stood alone in abstaining. We should have been able to build consensus and convince more countries to take a similar stand.
The IMF voting shows that India is not quite where it thinks it is.
US/France/Germany/UK/Saudi/China/Japan are (some of) the countries that have dedicated seats. Not one stood by India.
Sobering.
given the situation, today is a crucial day, we are at a point where both sides can claim some gain & sell it to their audience (that has been the primary purpose). if at this point there is further escalation, it is difficult to see how we will arrive at a similar opportunity.
The Modi govt was expected to not only vote against but also to lobby with other members to oppose fresh IMF loans to Pakistan.
But the Modi govt chose to abstain from voting.
