Leading 4yo and 6yo in a (gentle, age-appropriate) meditation on the Passion.
Me: Oh! Jesus fell down! What do you do?
6yo, so sweetly: I kiss him on his face.
4yo, so fiercely: I SCRATCH the soldiers!!
@FrGoyo@KatiePMcGrady That was difficult to not do when I was pregnant on our way to Italy. It hurt to sit up straight. Almost got into it with the girl behind me who started kicking my chair hard.
Do you know that the method called NaPro technology, a Catholic method that is frowned upon by the medical community, is able to get children to childless couples at a rate greater than IVF? Itโs like an unheard-of-science only because itโs so Catholic and free financially.
What's your favorite part of school Mass?
3rd grader: The Our Father
Why?
3rd grader: It means we are close to receiving Jesus!
That's right!
Also 3rd grader: and it means the homily is over.
Thanks Mom for showing me how to love God and Mama Mary. Your examples of love reminded me that I could come back to where I was received with open arms.

Growing up my house was so heavily decorated with religious things that one time one of my friends genuflected as he entered the living room. I have to say, I did it more than once myself.

Iโm having withdrawals. Been used to @TheEmilyDBaker live in my ear everyday for over a month. Feels like your bestie visited from out of town and just left. Guess Iโll just have to rewatch videos.
When I was very little I was always curious about what my mom said to God in prayer. One day she told me โwhen I pray I talk to God about you.โ
I really loved that and it made my prayer a bit better and now as a priest, when I pray I talk to God about my parishioners.
