These two are Carl-Fredrik Arndt and Peter Jonnson. These are the two young men who came across Brock Allen Turner raping a woman. They stopped him, called the police, held him, and kept her safe until the police arrived.

A Texas woman got an abortion. So Texas police used 83,000 Flock cameras to track her down. 83 THOUSAND!! They aren't using these cameras to track down rapists, pedophiles, or traffickers. They're not using them to find your missing children. They're using them to throw women in jail for making choices about their own bodies, with OUR tax dollars.

we live on a planet where trees warn each other of danger through underground networks. where octopuses dream. where elephants return to the bones of their dead and stand over them in silence. where bees communicate through dance, showing each other where to fly. where flowers bloom...where crows remember human faces -especially those who were cruel to them - and pass that memory on to their young. where ants build entire cities. where cats purr at a frequency that can help heal bones. where forests, after fires, grow flowers first.

I found out none of my photos won wildlife photo of the year, but it was fun to participate! The 3rd photo of the Brown Bear Cubs riding their moms back did receive an honorable mention in the “water as an element” category of the Pangolin photo challenge though 😃

My student was reading Manga in class
I asked him to "put the Manga away"
"Actually, Ms, it's called anime" (ah-nee-meh)
"No, that's manga."
"Excuse me, I know more about this than you."
"I've been reading Manga and watching anime since before you were born. Don't even try it."
