Someone just extracted the full system prompt of GPT 5.6 Sol. The entire instruction set OpenAI gives the model before you even type your first message.
It's over 20,000 words long. And what's inside changes how you think about what ChatGPT actually is.
A few things that stood out:
The model's real name internally is "GPT-5.6 Thinking." It's described as a reasoning model with a hidden chain of thought.
There's a parameter at the bottom called "Juice: 112." No explanation. No documentation. Nobody knows what it controls.
There's an "oververbosity" setting. OpenAI sets it to 4 out of 10. That's why Sol's answers are shorter than older models. It's not the model being
smarter. It's the prompt telling it to talk less.
ChatGPT now has ads. Built directly into the system prompt. Free and Go plan users see sponsored links. The model is explicitly told not to mention ads unless asked, and to say "I can't view the app UI" if a user asks about them.
It has access to your Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, and Google Drive through internal API tools.
It can search emails, read threads, create drafts, send messages, create calendar events, and look up contacts. All built into the base prompt.
There's more:
→ An automations system that monitors things, sends recurring summaries, and checks conditions by creating iCal events to schedule future prompts back to itself
→ Image generation rules that allow it to answer questions about people in images but block it from identifying real people or real TV characters
→ A hard rule that the model must never promise future work. If it's running out of tokens, it must give a partial answer rather than ask a clarifying question. "Partial completion is MUCH better than clarifications."
This isn't just a system prompt. It's the full operating system behind every ChatGPT conversation.
Now (2025+): We’re seeing touches of depth, motion, haptics, and tactile cues coming back just like Android 16 is doing, possibly because we’re transitioning toward more spatial interfaces (AR/VR/XR). Touch points need to feel more physical and intuitive again. Translucent slides
